If the Takashiro Treasure Hunt is missing in Forza Horizon 6, first verify that the weekly Festival Playlist entry is active for the current season. The reported chest is in an east-Takashiro rest area southeast of Soni Circuit, surrounded by pampas grass; its marker can be easy to misread. Updating the game, restarting it completely, and reopening the current playlist are the supported first checks. The paid Treasure Map is not a fix because it excludes Seasonal Collectables in the Festival Playlist.
What “not appearing” can mean
Players use “the Takashiro hunt is not appearing” to describe several different states. The correct fix depends on which state you have:
- The Takashiro entry is absent from the Festival Playlist.
- The entry is visible, but the clue or chest marker is not clear on the map.
- The clue shows as completed, yet the chest cannot be found.
- The hunt was visible earlier, but disappeared after changing sessions, updating, or restarting.
These symptoms do not prove that the chest has been removed. A specialist Forza Horizon 6 guide reports no single verified repair that works for every account or platform state. Use the checks below in order so you can distinguish an inactive activity, a difficult-to-read location, an out-of-date game state, and a problem that should be reported.

Open the current Festival Playlist
- From the game’s main navigation, open the current Festival Playlist.
- Check the season currently displayed by the playlist, rather than relying on an older screenshot, video, or saved map route.
- Look for the Takashiro Treasure Hunt entry and open it to read its clue and completion state.
Takashiro is a weekly Festival Playlist activity. It is not a permanent Treasure Car event. A permanent Treasure Car marker, a previously visited location, or a route saved from another week is therefore not evidence that the seasonal hunt is active now.

If the entry is not listed at all, finish this verification before searching the map. The chest location is useful only after the playlist has loaded the Takashiro activity for the current season. Seasonal content can also change when a new playlist begins, so an older guide may describe a hunt that is no longer available in your displayed season.
Search the reported chest area, even when the marker is unclear
Use the map landmarks
PC Gamer’s guide dated 15 October 2026 places the chest in east Takashiro, at a rest area southeast of Soni Circuit. The area is surrounded by pampas grass. A nearby brown pond-and-long-grass patch is identified as a useful landmark.
- Open the world map after confirming that the playlist entry is active.
- Locate Soni Circuit, then move your search southeast toward the east-Takashiro rest area.
- Look for the brown pond and the long-grass patch described in the guide; use those features to orient yourself rather than depending on a single icon.
- Drive through the rest area and the pampas grass slowly. Check the edges of the grass, paths, and nearby open ground instead of stopping at the first map pin.
- Return to the playlist entry and verify whether the clue or chest state changed after you entered the area.
A difficult-to-interpret map marker does not necessarily mean the hunt is broken. The reported chest can be present while the icon is hard to distinguish from other map information. Searching the physical landmark is the most direct way to separate a visibility problem from a missing-object problem.

Install pending updates and rebuild the playlist state
Update first
Check for a pending Forza Horizon 6 update on the platform where you play and allow it to finish before testing the hunt again. Playground Games’ release notes document fixes for Festival Playlist challenge-completion problems. Those notes do not promise one universal Takashiro repair, but they make an outdated build or stale playlist data a reasonable first check.
Restart completely
- Exit the game rather than leaving it suspended or running in a quick-resume state.
- Wait for the platform to close the game process fully.
- Launch Forza Horizon 6 again and allow it to synchronize your profile and seasonal data.
- Open the Festival Playlist again and confirm the Takashiro entry before returning to the map.
Do not assume that installing an update while the game is open has refreshed the already-loaded playlist. A full restart forces the game to request the current activity state again. If the entry appears after restarting, use the clue and location shown in that newly opened playlist rather than a route retained from the earlier session.

If the clue is complete but the chest is still missing
Repeat the state check, not just the drive
When the clue shows as completed, return to the playlist before driving another route. Confirm that the completion state belongs to Takashiro and that the displayed season has not changed. Then close and relaunch the game, reopen the same playlist entry, and revisit the rest-area landmark. This sequence tests whether the chest failed to load in one session or is absent after a fresh playlist request.

Record the exact failure
If the chest remains absent after the restart and a second search, document what happened while the information is visible. Capture screenshots of:
- The Festival Playlist page showing the Takashiro entry and its state.
- The clue or completion notification.
- The map view around east Takashiro, Soni Circuit, and the search area.
- The empty or incomplete chest location, including recognizable grass or pond landmarks.
- Your platform and the game version shown by the title or system information.
These details allow support staff to distinguish a wrong-season or wrong-location report from a reproducible loading failure. Include the order of events: when the playlist was opened, whether an update was installed, whether the game was fully restarted, when the clue completed, and what happened on the second visit.
Report a persistent issue through the official Feedback Portal
Playground Games’ Horizon Meets release notes direct unresolved issues to the official Forza Horizon 6 Feedback Portal. Use that route when the activity is active, the game is updated, the clue is complete, and the chest is still missing after a full restart and a second search of the reported landmark.

What to include in the report
- A short title such as “Takashiro Treasure Hunt chest missing after clue completion.”
- The season displayed in the Festival Playlist.
- Your platform and Forza Horizon 6 version.
- Whether the Takashiro entry appeared normally.
- The exact clue and the point at which it showed as complete.
- The search location: east Takashiro, the rest area southeast of Soni Circuit, and the pampas-grass surroundings.
- Whether you installed an update and fully restarted before testing again.
- Screenshots or video showing the playlist, map, clue state, and missing chest.
A report should describe the reproducible sequence rather than simply say “the hunt is broken.” The official material identifies the supported reporting channel, but it does not publish a universal repair procedure or a guaranteed response time for every account and platform condition.

Weekly Festival Playlist Treasure Hunts
Takashiro belongs to this seasonal system. Its availability is controlled by the current Festival Playlist, its clue is tied to that week’s activity, and its completion contributes to the season’s progress.
Permanent Treasure Cars
Treasure Cars are a separate, persistent type of activity. A marker associated with one of them can remain on a map independently of the weekly playlist. Seeing such a marker does not activate Takashiro or confirm that the seasonal chest has loaded.

The paid Treasure Map
The Forza Horizon 6 Treasure Map is a separate digital add-on. The official Xbox listing states: “Please note this Treasure Map will not reveal the locations of Seasonal Collectables featured in the Festival Playlist.” Because Takashiro is a seasonal Festival Playlist hunt, buying or activating the map is not an evidence-backed solution to a missing Takashiro chest.
What completion should award
PC Gamer’s 15 October 2026 guide reports that completing the Takashiro hunt awards 100,000 credits, 5,000 XP, and three Season Progress. These figures are the guide’s report for this hunt and season; they should not be generalized to every Treasure Hunt in the game or to a different playlist rotation.
If the chest opens but one of these rewards does not appear immediately, first allow the game to finish its normal reward and synchronization screens. If the playlist still does not record completion after returning to it, capture the same playlist and version evidence described above. The official release notes establish that Festival Playlist completion problems have been fixed in updates, but they do not state that every reward-display issue has one common remedy.

Indicators of a location or interpretation problem
- The Takashiro entry is active and the clue is not complete.
- The map icon is present but difficult to distinguish.
- You have not searched the pampas-grass rest area southeast of Soni Circuit on foot or at low speed.
- The playlist changes after entering the landmark area.
Indicators of a stale game state
- The game had an update waiting when you began.
- You resumed from a suspended session instead of launching cleanly.
- The playlist page shows old or incomplete information until you reopen it.
- The chest appears after a full restart without any change to the route.
Indicators of a reportable failure
- The current playlist clearly lists Takashiro.
- The clue is recorded as complete.
- The game is updated and has been fully restarted.
- The east-Takashiro rest area and surrounding pampas grass have been searched again.
- The chest remains absent and the playlist does not advance.
No published statistical study establishes how often each symptom occurs, and no official source promises that one of these categories will explain every case. The value of the sequence is diagnostic: it removes the common wrong-activity, wrong-location, and stale-session explanations before you submit a support report.

- Open the current Festival Playlist.
- Confirm that Takashiro is listed for the displayed season.
- Ignore permanent Treasure Car markers when deciding whether the weekly hunt is active.
- Install any pending game update.
- Close the game fully and relaunch it.

The practical conclusion is narrow but important: Takashiro is a seasonal Festival Playlist hunt, not a permanent Treasure Car, and the paid Treasure Map deliberately excludes this class of collectible. Verify the active playlist, search the reported east-Takashiro landmark, refresh the game state, and report a reproducible absence rather than buying an add-on or following an old permanent-event marker.
