The new live-action Street Fighter film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on October 16, 2026. Paramount Pictures is presenting it as an in-theatre release, while Capcom and Legendary Entertainment are producing. No streaming service or OTT release date has been announced, so it is not yet confirmed for Netflix, Paramount+ or any other platform.
When does the new Street Fighter movie come out?
The confirmed release date is October 16, 2026. Capcom announced the date on September 5, 2025, and Paramount’s official film page lists the same date with an “In Theatres” designation. The official Japanese movie site describes the launch as a worldwide simultaneous release.
That means the first announced viewing window is cinemas, not a subscription streaming service. Local showtimes, ticket-sale timing and age classifications still depend on individual exhibitors and territories, so check nearby cinema listings as the date approaches.

Do not confuse future listings for this film with the earlier Street Fighter adaptations released in 1994 and 2009. Any eventual digital listing should identify the 2026 production.
What is the 2026 Street Fighter movie about?
The story is set in 1993. Estranged fighters Ryu and Ken Masters are pulled back into combat when Chun-Li recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament. Paramount’s synopsis describes a brutal contest involving a deadly conspiracy, forcing the two rivals to confront each other and unresolved parts of their past.
