When did Arjun come out in Street Fighter 6?
Arjun’s release date was October 13, 2026. Street Fighter announced that date on September 7 in its gameplay announcement for the second Year 4 character. A Capcom announcement published in Japan on October 13 also stated that Arjun had joined the roster, so the date is no longer an upcoming release date.

The Year 4 rollout began earlier. Capcom said the Year 4 characters would unlock sequentially from August 3, 2026, with Arjun scheduled for autumn 2026 in the Year 4 Character Pass listing. The October 13 launch is the specific date attached to Arjun.

The original game launched on June 2, 2023, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The Nintendo Switch 2 version followed on June 5, 2025. Those dates describe the game releases, not a separate Arjun launch on each platform.

How to unlock Arjun
Buy Arjun individually with Fighter Coins
The standalone route is for players who want Arjun without committing to the complete Year 4 lineup. The official announcement confirms that Fighter Coins can be used for an individual purchase, but it does not publish a universal coin amount. Do not rely on a price shown for another territory, edition, or date: open the store attached to your copy of the game and confirm the current requirement before buying.
Fighter Coins are a game-currency purchase, so your final cost can depend on the coin bundle available in your regional storefront. A bundle may provide more coins than the character requires, and unused coins remain subject to the game’s account and platform rules. The official material available for this release does not establish a single cash price that applies worldwide.
Use the Year 4 Character Pass
Owners of the Year 4 Character Pass receive Arjun as part of the pass. The official Street Fighter announcement says that a pass owner has Arjun automatically added to the roster upon release. If you bought the pass before October 13, the entitlement was intended to activate when the character launched; a purchase made after launch should grant the same character entitlement after the platform recognizes the transaction.
Use the Year 4 Ultimate Pass
The Year 4 Ultimate Pass is the other announced pass route for Arjun. The supplied official announcements confirm his inclusion and automatic roster access for owners, but they do not provide a complete, platform-neutral breakdown of the Ultimate Pass contents or a single worldwide price. Read the local product page carefully so you know which Year 4 extras are included in that edition.

What is in the Year 4 Character Pass?
Capcom’s North American listing identifies four additional Year 4 characters and several non-character items:

The listing says the additional content is released sequentially. That matters if you buy the pass before every character is available: the pass grants the scheduled content as each item launches rather than delivering every future character on day one.
Do you need to own Street Fighter 6 first?
Yes. Capcom’s June 29, 2026 pass announcement explicitly states that a separate purchase of the base game, Street Fighter 6, is required to use the Year 4 passes. A Character Pass or Ultimate Pass is therefore not a standalone version of the game.

Capcom’s original launch announcement names PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Capcom later announced the Nintendo Switch 2 edition for June 5, 2025. The character announcement describes the general acquisition methods but does not separately enumerate an Arjun store listing for every platform and region. Before purchasing, search your platform’s store for the current Street Fighter 6 Year 4 Character Pass, Year 4 Ultimate Pass, or individual character entitlement.
Cross-platform ownership should not be assumed. A pass or Fighter Coin purchase normally belongs to the platform account and game edition through which it was bought; verify the terms displayed by your store, especially if you play on more than one system.

- Confirm the base game. Make sure Street Fighter 6 is installed and owned on the account and platform you intend to use.
- Open the correct storefront. Use the console store, PC storefront, or the game’s own purchase screen associated with that copy. Search for “Street Fighter 6 Arjun,” “Year 4 Character Pass,” or “Year 4 Ultimate Pass.”
- Choose the entitlement. Select the individual Fighter Coin route if you want only Arjun, or select a Year 4 pass if you also want its other characters and listed bonuses.
- Check region and edition details. Confirm that the product is sold for your country, platform, and game edition. Prices and inventory can change, and the North American listing reviewed for the Character Pass is specifically a Steam product.
- Complete the transaction. Download any add-on or update requested by the storefront, then launch the game on the purchasing account.
- Verify the roster. Open the character-selection or add-on area and confirm that Arjun is available. Pass owners should receive him automatically after the entitlement is recognized.

What to do if Arjun does not appear
- Restart the game. Close it completely and launch it again after the purchase has finished.
- Check the account. Confirm that the game and add-on were bought on the same platform account or console-sharing arrangement.
- Install pending updates. A game update or downloadable-content installation may be required before the roster refreshes.
- Restore licenses or purchases. On consoles, use the platform’s account-management option for restoring purchased licenses, then relaunch the game.
- Check the region. A product bought from a different regional store may not match the installed game edition.
- Contact platform or publisher support. Keep the order number, platform, account region, and purchase date ready if the entitlement remains missing.
These checks address entitlement recognition; they do not change the published release date or create access where the base game is not owned.
