Search elevated or mountainous terrain for the Storm Scout Sprite, and check island Cheat Code consoles as you rotate. Neither approach is a guaranteed spawn: the available location guidance is broad, and the console mechanic can release Sprites generally rather than this specific one. Confirm the item and its current effect in your live match.
Where should you look for the Storm Scout Sprite?
Look around high ground and mountainous areas rather than relying on a precise map pin. Current Sprite catalogs and season guides describe Storm Scout as appearing in elevated terrain, but they do not establish a fixed coordinate or guarantee a spawn at any particular spot.
As you move through the island, interact with Cheat Code consoles when you find them. Epic’s v42.00 Chapter 7 Season 4 update notes describe entering a code at a Cheat Code point to free a Sprite. That is a general way to obtain a Sprite; it does not promise that the Sprite will be Storm Scout.
How to search for it in a match
- Choose a route that takes you through elevated or mountainous areas; treat them as search areas, not confirmed spawn coordinates.
- Loot as you rotate and interact with island Cheat Code consoles you encounter to try the general Sprite-release mechanic.
- When you find a Sprite, check its name and live in-game description to confirm whether it is Storm Scout and what its effect currently does.
- If it does not appear, continue to another area or try another match. Reliable drop odds and a fixed spawn schedule are not established.
What does Storm Scout do?
Secondary guides and catalogs describe Storm Scout as providing Overdrive after you take storm damage, with a Storm Circle reveal at max level. Treat those details as reported effects, not a substitute for the live description: game updates can change an item’s behavior.

Why you may not find it every match
The available location information supports a terrain hint, not a guaranteed location. It also does not confirm availability in every playlist or the current loot pool in every region. Fortnite’s item availability and mechanics can change with updates, so a route that works in one match may not work in another.
