Who replaced Steve Jobs as Apple CEO?

Tim Cook replaced Jobs. At the time, Cook was Apple’s chief operating officer. Apple’s announcement said Cook had served the company for 13 years and cited his responsibility for worldwide sales and operations, including end-to-end supply-chain management, sales, service, and support. It also noted that he had led the Macintosh division. Those are Apple’s descriptions of Cook’s experience in its 2011 release.

Apple’s board expressed confidence in the appointment. Art Levinson, then chairman of Genentech and speaking for Apple’s board, said: “The Board has complete confidence that Tim is the right person to be our next CEO.”
