The Steam Summer Sale 2026 ran from June 25 through July 9, ending at 10 a.m. PT. Steam advertised discounts of up to 90%, but the promotion is over as of October 17, 2026. The ten games below were featured in Steam’s official trailer; their sale percentages were not published in the official materials available for this guide, so check each Steam store page for today’s regional price or an archived listing.
When was the Steam Summer Sale 2026?
Steam’s 2026 summer promotion opened June 25 and closed July 9 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time. Steam’s announcement described the event as offering “up to 90% off” games. That was a maximum advertised saving, not a discount applied to every title.
Because the sale ended months ago, prices shown on Steam now may be full price, part of another promotion, or different by country and currency. Valve’s event calendar lists the next announced summer seasonal sale for June 24 through July 8, 2027.

Which Steam Summer Sale games are worth buying?
Best for atmospheric horror and puzzles
Little Nightmares III was the trailer’s clearest choice for players who want unsettling environments and puzzle-platform gameplay. Its appeal is atmosphere and problem-solving rather than an open-ended sandbox.
Best for a long-running exploration sandbox
No Man’s Sky combines exploration and survival in a broad sandbox. It suits players who want an ongoing world rather than a tightly linear campaign.

Are these Steam deals digital or physical?
They were digital PC purchases through Steam. A Steam sale changes the price of a game license in your account; it does not ship a disc or boxed copy. Availability, regional pricing, language support, downloadable content and hardware requirements can differ by store region and edition, so review the individual listing before checkout.

How to check a 2026 deal after the sale
- Open the game’s Steam store page and confirm the current price in your region.
- Review the purchase history or an archived price tracker if you need to establish what the title cost during June 25–July 9, 2026.
- Read the system-requirements section, supported operating systems and controller information before buying.
- Check whether the edition includes downloadable content or whether separate bundles are required.
- Add the game to your wishlist if you are waiting for the next discount. Valve says a discount of 20% or greater automatically triggers wishlist email notifications for players who have that game wishlisted.
Other games shown in the trailer
The trailer also highlighted Totally Accurate Battle Simulator, Dynasty Warriors: Origins, Football Manager 26, NBA 2K26, Company of Heroes 3 and Two Point Museum. As with the ten primary picks, the available official materials confirm featured placement but do not provide a complete historical price table.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsWhat the 90% claim means
“Up to 90% off” describes the largest saving advertised across the event. It should not be read as a guaranteed reduction for any of the ten featured games. A reliable comparison requires the original regional list price, the sale price, the edition being sold and the date captured; those per-game figures were not included in Steam’s announcement or trailer information used here.
