Star Wars Zero Company has four standard weapon classes: Longarm Blaster, Blaster Pistol, Repeater, and Blaster Rifle. You change an Operator’s weapon in the Armory, then improve or customize equipment through weapon mods and Den progression. A September 2026 guide places Armory access at Cycle 3, Weapon Mods at Cycle 4, and the Black Market at Cycle 5. These are guide-reported timings, not a verified list of every named weapon model’s unlock condition.
Which weapon classes are available?
A September 17, 2026 gameplay guide identifies four broadly available weapon classes. Their reported baseline damage, range, and action-point (AP) behavior are useful for choosing a role, but individual models and modifications may change performance.
| Class | Guide-reported baseline | Action-point behavior | Typical role |
|---|---|---|---|
| Longarm Blaster | 12 base damage; long range | Shots cost 2 AP | Long-range attacks |
| Blaster Pistol | 6 base damage; short range | Shots cost 1 AP | Short-range flexibility |
| Repeater | 8 base damage; medium range | Rapid Fire scales damage based on AP spent | Adjusting firepower to available AP |
| Blaster Rifle | 10 base damage; medium range | The first shot each turn costs 1 AP; later shots cost 2 AP | Medium-range attacks with a lower-cost opening shot |
These are class baselines reported by VULKK’s September 17, 2026 weapons guide, not guaranteed stats for every named model after upgrades or mods.

Astromechs use Utilities instead of weapons, while Tel-Rea is identified as the sole lightsaber user. Those exceptions should not be counted as additional standard weapon classes. The class and character distinctions are reported in the VULKK guide.

How do you equip or change an Operator’s weapon?
Visit the Armory to change an Operator’s equipped weapon. The guide says a weapon is not permanently fixed by specialization, so you can select equipment to suit the Operator and mission rather than treating the initial choice as permanent.
When do the Armory, weapon mods, and Black Market become available?
The following campaign timings come from a secondary gameplay guide; they are not published here as official EA unlock rules.

|---|---|---|
| Cycle 3 | Armory | Change an Operator’s equipped weapon |
| Cycle 4 | Weapon Mods | Customize weapons through modifications |
| Cycle 5 | Black Market | Access another equipment-progression system |
These timings are reported by VULKK’s September 2026 guide. Guides describe weapon mods, Black Market access, and Den-linked weapon upgrades as ways to progress equipment; they do not establish a separate research tree that successively unlocks stronger weapon classes. For additional progression context, see Gamepressure’s Star Wars Zero Company guide.
Do weapon models have separate unlock conditions?
Guides describe several cosmetic models within weapon classes, but the official EA material available here does not verify where or when every named model is unlocked. The supported distinction is between a weapon class, equipment progression, and a model’s appearance; it would be misleading to present an exhaustive named-model unlock list without verified conditions.
Rank #3
- Command an elite squad through a gritty and authentic Star Wars story set in the twilight of the Clone Wars. Step into the role of Hawks, a former Republic officer leading Zero Company against an emerging threat that could consume the galaxy.
What does the Deluxe Edition add?
EA lists five painted weapon appearance themes in the Deluxe Edition: 100th Clone Company, Kafrene Informant, Black Sun Syndicate Enforcer, Bespin Security, and Separatist Warrior. These are cosmetic themes, not five additional functional weapon classes. Check EA’s official Star Wars Zero Company page for edition details.
Do you need a special edition to unlock weapons?
The cited information does not show that a special edition is required to access the four standard weapon classes. The Deluxe Edition’s confirmed weapon-related addition is the five cosmetic themes above. EA says physical Standard Edition copies are available for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S through selected retailers, while PC is listed through digital storefronts; availability can vary, so check EA’s official game page and the retailer’s current listing.
