SpaceX is targeting 6:33 a.m. EDT on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2026, to launch a Dragon cargo spacecraft to the International Space Station aboard a Falcon 9 rocket. NASA’s launch coverage is scheduled to begin at 6:15 a.m. EDT; you can also watch SpaceX’s webcast on its mission page or X account. Launch timing and coverage are subject to operational changes.
When is the SpaceX CRS-35 launch, and where can you watch?
The planned liftoff is 6:33 a.m. EDT Tuesday, Oct. 13, from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. NASA’s official launch advisory lists coverage beginning at 6:15 a.m. EDT, with a live stream and blog updates on NASA’s website. NASA+ is expected to offer on-demand video and launch photos shortly after liftoff.
SpaceX says its webcast will begin about 20 minutes before the planned liftoff, on the company’s mission page and X account. Space.com also plans to carry NASA’s stream from 6:15 a.m. EDT. For the latest schedule, use NASA’s advisory and check NASA or SpaceX mission channels close to launch: a published target is not a guarantee that a rocket will lift off at that exact time.
What is CRS-35 carrying?
CRS-35 is SpaceX’s 35th Commercial Resupply Services mission to the ISS for NASA. NASA reports that Dragon will carry more than 6,300 pounds of supplies, station hardware and research materials. The planned cargo includes the final pair of International Space Station Roll-Out Solar Arrays (IROSA), which are intended to augment the station’s power system, as well as maintenance and life-support equipment.
#1 Best Overall
- Replica of the tile structure
- Detailed cockpit
- Cockpit canopy optionally removable
- 2 crew figures
- Opening cargo bay doors
Research payloads include materials for artificial-retina manufacturing, 3D heart-tissue models, unconventional-glass samples and brain organoids. These are planned investigations and deliveries; their inclusion does not mean the experiments have produced results or that a prospective medical application is an established treatment.
What research will the mission support?
Artificial-retina manufacturing
LambdaVision-1 will test whether artificial retinas can be manufactured layer by layer in microgravity. NASA says the work could support future implants for retinal diseases. That is a research objective, not evidence that an implant or treatment is ready for patients.

Heart-tissue models
Stellar Spheroids will study how microgravity affects 3D human heart-tissue models and whether it helps form advanced vascular networks. The models may aid future disease research and drug testing.
Unconventional glass
ELF-Unconventional Glass 2 will investigate glass formation from non-traditional elements in microgravity. The samples are planned to return to Earth for analysis.

Brain organoids
MINDS will study brain organoids and inflammation associated with neurodegenerative disease, with the aim of identifying possible treatment targets. Identifying a target would be an early research step, not proof of a treatment.
These experiments are part of a much larger station research program. NASA describes the ISS as supporting more than 25 years of research, involving scientists from more than 110 countries and more than 4,000 microgravity experiments. Those figures refer to the station’s broader research history, not CRS-35 alone.

When is Dragon expected to reach the station and return?
NASA’s Oct. 7 advisory projects autonomous docking at about 11 a.m. EDT Thursday, Oct. 15, at the space-facing port of the station’s Harmony module. Dragon is planned to remain at the ISS until mid-November, then return time-critical research and cargo with a splashdown off California. Both docking and return dates are schedule projections and may change; they are separate events from the Oct. 13 launch.
