What the creator says about the writing and art
In a September 22, 2026 interview, Gobert, creative and art director at Wild Wits Games, said the team planned major narrative quest lines first, then defined each character’s personality, gimmick, and way of speaking before handing dialogue writing to the writers. Gobert described fictional tales from the Renaissance and Middle Ages as stronger inspiration for the Arthurian setting than strict historical realism. For the visual style, he cited old-school Art Nouveau illustrations and illustrated books about Arthurian tales and knighthood, combined with contemporary influences. These are stated influences, not a claim that the game is a historically accurate depiction of either period.

Is Sovereign Tower connected to Crown Gambit?
