For a Sony ZV-E10 II, choose an interchangeable E-mount lens to suit how you shoot: the E PZ 10-20mm F4 G prioritizes a very wide view and smooth powered zoom, while the E 15mm F1.4 G trades zoom flexibility for a faster aperture. The ZV-1 II is different: its 18–50mm-equivalent lens is built in, so you cannot swap it for either lens. Start by checking your exact camera model.
First, check whether your Sony camera accepts interchangeable lenses
The Sony Alpha ZV-E10 II is an APS-C E-mount camera that accepts interchangeable lenses. The ZV-1 II is a compact camera with an integrated 18–50mm-equivalent F1.8–F4.0 lens, not an E-mount body. That means the lens recommendations below are for compatible E-mount cameras such as the ZV-E10 II, not the ZV-1 II. Sony’s ZV-E10 II product information and ZV-1 II specifications outline the distinction.
Sony advises checking lens and accessory compatibility for the exact camera model. Confirm support before buying, especially if you have a different ZV-series camera. Sony’s compatibility guidance explains how to check.
Which lens suits your style of vlogging?
| Lens | Best fit | Key trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Sony E PZ 10-20mm F4 G (SELP1020G) | Wide handheld vlogging, travel scenes, interiors, and gimbal use | Constant F4 aperture; no optical stabilization |
| Sony E 15mm F1.4 G (SEL15F14G) | Dimmer settings, a fixed wide composition, and more background separation | Prime lens with no optical stabilization |
| Sony E PZ 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 OSS II | General-purpose starting setup when included as a kit lens | Less wide than the 10-20mm for arm’s-length framing |

For a wide view and smooth zoom: E PZ 10-20mm F4 G
Sony specifies this APS-C power zoom at 10–20mm, equivalent to 15–30mm in full-frame terms, with a constant F4 maximum aperture and a weight of 178 g. Its internal zoom keeps the lens barrel at a constant length as you zoom, a useful trait for gimbal balance, and powered zoom allows smooth changes in framing. Sony describes it for video creators. Sony’s specifications and lens overview provide the details.
Choose it when the widest framing matters more than a fast aperture—for example, showing yourself and more of the surroundings in a handheld shot. The trade-offs are its F4 maximum aperture and lack of optical stabilization.

For low light and a fixed wide composition: E 15mm F1.4 G
This APS-C prime gives a 15mm view, equivalent to 22.5mm in full-frame terms. It has an F1.4 maximum aperture and weighs 219 g. The wider maximum aperture can help in dimmer scenes and make it easier to separate a subject from the background, but the fixed focal length means you cannot zoom to reframe. Sony also lists video-oriented features such as minimal focus breathing, Linear Response MF, and a de-clickable aperture ring. It has no optical stabilization. See Sony’s specifications and lens overview.
For a general-purpose kit: E PZ 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 OSS II
Sony lists this compact APS-C standard power zoom as a ZV-E10 II kit option and specifies Optical SteadyShot stabilization. It is a practical starting lens if you want a flexible everyday range and stabilization in the lens. Before choosing a kit for selfie videos, consider whether its widest framing will comfortably include you at your usual camera-to-subject distance; creators who need a wider view may prefer the 10-20mm. Sony’s ZV-E10 II specifications list the kit option.

- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)

How stabilization affects handheld footage
The ZV-E10 II does not have mechanical in-body stabilization. Sony describes Active electronic video stabilization, which crops the image to stabilize footage. The 10-20mm F4 G and 15mm F1.4 G also lack optical stabilization, so neither adds lens-based stabilization to that camera. If you film handheld while moving, account for the crop when composing, consider a wider framing, or use a support such as a tripod or compatible grip. The 16-50mm kit zoom’s Optical SteadyShot is a different option when lens stabilization is a priority. Sony’s camera specifications and the lens specifications linked above describe these features.

Audio: start with the built-in mic, then add an external one if needed
The ZV-E10 II has a three-capsule built-in microphone with selectable pickup direction, and Sony supplies a wind screen that attaches to the Multi Interface Shoe. For higher-priority sound, a compatible external microphone can connect through the 3.5mm microphone input or the Multi Interface Shoe, including digital audio devices. An external mic is a situational upgrade rather than a requirement for every creator; check compatibility for your specific camera. Sony’s ZV-E10M2 microphone tips and accessory compatibility guidance cover the options.

Make the choice by the shot you need
- Choose the 10-20mm F4 G if a wide angle, powered zoom, and stable lens length while zooming matter most.
- Choose the 15mm F1.4 G if a fast aperture and a consistent fixed wide view matter more than zoom flexibility.
- Consider the stabilized 16-50mm OSS II kit zoom for an everyday starting lens, after checking its widest framing for your selfie setup.
- If you own a ZV-1 II, use its built-in lens; it does not accept these interchangeable E-mount lenses.
