If you own the original Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Digital Deluxe Edition, the current store listings say to buy Season Pass Two by itself—not the Year Two Digital Deluxe bundle. Steam and Nintendo list Season Pass Two as a separate product, while the Year Two bundle includes the base game and would duplicate it for existing owners. Players are disputing whether that separate charge conflicts with a reported earlier promise of “all future paid downloadable content,” but the original social post and its full context have not been independently verified here.
Does the original Digital Deluxe Edition include Season Pass Two?
According to SEGA’s June 9, 2025 announcement, the original Digital Deluxe Edition includes the base game and the original Season Pass. SEGA described that pass as covering six DLC waves; the announcement did not identify a second season pass as part of the edition. The announcement also noted that DLC contents and release dates could change. SEGA’s announcement

The current Year Two listings treat Season Pass Two as a separate purchase. Steam explicitly advises existing owners of the original Digital Deluxe Edition to purchase Season Pass Two only, and Nintendo’s listing gives the same practical guidance. Steam listing Nintendo listing

- If you want the Year Two content: buy Season Pass Two on its own from the relevant platform store.
- Do not buy the Year Two Digital Deluxe bundle if you already own the game. Steam says the bundle contains Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds and that purchasing it would count as a duplicate purchase; Nintendo gives the same advice.
- If you do not own the base game: compare the bundle and separate products in your region’s store before buying. The US Steam listing checked October 12, 2026 priced the Year Two Digital Deluxe bundle at $59.99 and Season Pass Two at $29.99; storefront prices can change.
What is in Season Pass Two?
Steam’s Year Two listing itemizes six packs: Godzilla, Evangelion, Virtual Sanrio Puroland, SEGALAND, Midgar (working title), and Reload Revival Royal. The listing schedules releases from November 2026 through 2027, with the Godzilla pack and Year Two launch updates scheduled for November 3, 2026. Those are listed schedules, not guarantees; dates and content can change. Steam Year Two listing

The dispute centers on a phrase that secondary coverage and community discussion attribute to an earlier SEGA social post: “All future paid downloadable content.” MP1st reported on October 10, 2026 that SEGA used the phrase and said it reproduced a screenshot. The original post and its surrounding context were not independently verified here, so the phrase should be treated as reported wording—not as confirmed text from an original post checked in full. That reported phrase appears broader than the official 2025 announcement’s description of the Digital Deluxe Edition, which specifically names the base game and “the Season Pass DLC.” The current store listings describe a separate Season Pass Two. Those materials establish what the listed products include now, but they do not by themselves determine the meaning or legal effect of a separate social post.

What the official listings do—and do not—settle
- They establish the current product distinction: the original edition included the original Season Pass, while the Year Two listings offer Season Pass Two separately.
- They provide buyer guidance: owners of the original Digital Deluxe Edition should purchase Season Pass Two alone if they want Year Two content.
- They do not verify the reported social-post wording or its context.
- They do not settle a legal dispute. The available product descriptions and secondary reporting are not a legal finding about what the reported phrase means.
