If a SOL price alert does not fire, check the entire delivery chain: the alert must target the correct SOL market, remain active and unexpired, and be allowed through the exchange or wallet, phone, and browser notification settings. Coinbase also requires SOL to be on your watchlist; Binance alerts require Binance Pro and have count and 90-day limits; Kraken requires both app and operating-system permissions on mobile. A stale Solflare price is usually a temporary feed delay, not proof that the market is offline.
How SOL price alerts actually fail
A price notification has several separate stages. First, the platform must create an alert for the asset and quote market you intended. Second, that alert must remain active and reach its threshold before any expiry or account limit removes it. Third, the platform must be allowed to generate a notification. Finally, your phone, browser, or desktop environment must permit and display that notification. A failure at any one stage can look like the exchange ignored your target.
Keep the market pair in view. SOL/USD and SOL/USDT are different markets, and their prices can differ slightly. An alert attached to one pair will not necessarily fire when another pair crosses the same numerical value. Wallets can also show a delayed feed while exchange markets continue updating.
Use this diagnostic order
- Confirm the asset and quote. Open the alert or market page and verify that it says SOL and the intended pair, such as SOL/USD or SOL/USDT. Check that the condition is above or below the threshold you meant to use.
- Check the active-alert list. Look for the alert in the platform’s active or saved alerts area. Confirm the threshold, direction, pair, and status. If it is missing, it may have been deleted, expired, or blocked by a platform limit.
- Check every notification layer. Verify permission in the phone operating system, inside the exchange or wallet app, and in the browser when the alert was created on the web. A platform setting cannot override a denied device or browser permission.
- Confirm the required mode and limits. Binance alerts require Binance Pro. Binance also documents a maximum of 10 alerts per trading pair, 50 alerts in total, and 90-day validity. Reaching a cap or the end of the validity period can make an alert disappear.
- Refresh a wallet feed. If a wallet reports that the price is out of date, wait for the connection to recover and refresh the app. Treat the displayed value as stale until it updates.
- Run a controlled check. You can use a nonfinancial notification to verify that your device displays alerts, or set a deliberately close threshold and watch the active-alert status. Do not report the test as successful unless you actually observe delivery. Restore your intended threshold afterward.
- Prepare a support case. Record the platform, exact pair, threshold and direction, time zone, device operating system, app or browser version, and a screenshot of the active alert. Never include a seed phrase, private key, wallet password, or other recovery secret.
Coinbase SOL alerts: watchlist and notification settings
Coinbase price alerts are informational: they notify you that an asset reached a price and do not place an order for that asset. The asset must be on your watchlist before you can create its price alert.

Create or recreate the alert in the mobile app
- Search for SOL in the Coinbase mobile app.
- Add SOL to your watchlist if it is not already there.
- Open the SOL page and tap the bell icon.
- Choose Add Alert.
- Select whether the alert should fire when the price moves above or below a target, enter that target, and save.
Restore Coinbase delivery permissions
Open Account & Settings > Notification Settings and enable Price Alerts or Custom Alerts. Coinbase lets you select push, in-app, and/or email delivery. If push is enabled in the account but blocked by the phone, the alert can remain active without producing a banner or sound; check the phone’s notification permission for Coinbase as a separate step.
If a Coinbase alert still does not fire
- Return to the SOL watchlist entry and confirm the alert is attached to SOL rather than another asset with a similar symbol.
- Check the target direction and quote shown on the alert screen; a below alert will not fire on an upward move.
- Open the alert list and recreate a missing or incorrectly configured alert.
- Use email or in-app delivery as a diagnostic channel if push is unavailable, then restore your preferred combination.
- Remember that receiving an alert is not an order event; any trade must be placed separately.
Binance SOL alerts: Pro mode, limits, and expiry
Binance’s official alert workflow is available in Binance Pro. The alert belongs to a specific SOL trading pair, so select the pair you actually monitor rather than relying on a generic SOL search result.
Create an alert in Binance Pro
- Open Binance Pro and go to Markets.
- Search for the SOL trading pair you want.
- Tap Alert.
- Choose the condition and frequency, enter the target, and create the alert.
- Confirm that the alert appears in the platform’s alert list.
Check Binance’s documented constraints
Binance documents up to 10 alerts per trading pair and 50 alerts total. Each alert is valid for 90 days. If an alert vanished, check whether the 90-day period ended or whether you reached either count limit before creating another one. Deleting obsolete alerts can free capacity; recreate the SOL alert only after confirming the pair and target.

Enable Binance notifications in the phone’s system settings, not only in the app. Then check the app’s own notification controls and confirm that the device is not suppressing the channel you selected. If the alert exists, is within its validity period, and the phone permission is allowed, a missing notification is a delivery problem rather than a target-setting problem.

Kraken SOL alerts: mobile and web permission paths
Kraken Pro supports alerts on both mobile and web. Mobile delivery depends on two permissions: the operating system must allow Kraken Pro push notifications, and the Kraken Pro app must have push notifications enabled. Web alerts add a third permission layer in the browser.
Create a mobile alert
- Enable Kraken Pro push notifications in the iOS or Android settings for the app.
- Open Kraken Pro and enable push notifications inside the app.
- Go to Markets and tap the bell icon, or long-press a market.
- Create the alert for the selected SOL market and verify that it is saved.
Create and verify a web alert
- Allow browser notifications for the Kraken site in the operating system and in the browser’s site-permission controls.
- Open the Alerts widget on the web interface.
- Create the SOL alert with its intended condition and target.
- Check that it appears under Active alerts.
Volatility alerts
Kraken also offers volatility alerts for favorited assets. These are different from an absolute price target: favorite the relevant asset when using the volatility option, and do not expect a volatility alert to behave like an above-or-below trigger.
Solflare wallet: fixing a stale SOL price and notification delivery
“Price is out of date” message
Solflare documents this message as a momentary stall in the live price feed. Wait briefly for reconnection, then refresh the app if the value remains stale. A stale display should not be used to judge whether an exchange-based price target was crossed.

Notification Center checks
Solflare notifications reach devices where notifications are enabled and toggled on. Check the device permission first, then the wallet’s notification controls. If the device was recently restored, updated, or put into a restrictive notification mode, recheck both layers before recreating an alert.
Protect the wallet while troubleshooting
Legitimate support does not need your seed phrase, private key, or wallet password. Do not paste recovery material into a support chat, form, or screen-sharing session, even when someone claims it is required to restore prices or notifications.

Match the symptom to the likely layer
The alert is missing from the list
Check pair selection, account mode, expiry, and limits first. Binance’s 90-day validity and alert caps are explicit causes. On any platform, a missing entry means there may be nothing left to deliver, so recreate it only after confirming the intended market.

The alert is present, but no banner or sound appears
Inspect the phone’s operating-system permission, the app’s notification setting, and any device mode that suppresses alerts. Kraken mobile requires both OS and in-app permission; Coinbase and Binance likewise need device permission in addition to their account or app settings.

The trigger is probably active while push delivery is blocked. Keep the alert and repair the device permission rather than creating duplicate targets. Coinbase explicitly supports choosing push, in-app, and/or email, which lets you isolate the failed channel.
The wallet price is frozen or labeled out of date
Follow Solflare’s documented response: wait for reconnection and refresh. Compare the refreshed wallet display with the same SOL quote market you intended to monitor; do not change a threshold solely because a stale wallet value appears to have crossed it.

The notification arrives for the wrong move
Reopen the saved alert and read the direction, target, and quote together. Above and below conditions are not interchangeable, and SOL/USD is not SOL/USDT. Correct the existing alert or delete it before creating one with the intended values.
How to test without creating a trading risk
- Take a screenshot of the current alert, including pair, direction, target, and status.
- Check that the alert is active and that the device permission is allowed.
- Use a nonfinancial notification to confirm that the phone or browser can display alerts at all.
- If you need to exercise the financial alert path, choose a deliberately close threshold only when you understand the condition and are prepared to receive it; do not place an order as part of the test.
- Observe the notification yourself, then restore the intended SOL threshold and remove the temporary test.
A test that was not observed is not evidence of delivery. Avoid claiming that the exchange fired correctly merely because the alert remains listed.

Escalate after you have confirmed the correct pair, an active unexpired alert, the required platform mode, and all relevant notification permissions. Include the platform name, market pair, threshold and direction, the approximate time and time zone, device operating system, app or browser version, and screenshots that do not expose account secrets. Explain whether the alert is still visible, whether another delivery channel worked, and whether the wallet feed is current.
Never send a seed phrase, private key, wallet password, one-time recovery code, or full authentication secret. Those details are not needed to investigate an alert or a stale price and can transfer control of the wallet or account to an attacker.
