Both the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 and MediaTek Dimensity 9400e are premium Android phone platforms, but their CPU designs differ and benchmark results do not produce one universal winner. In a Smartprix comparison of the iQOO Neo 10 and realme GT 7, the realme led several CPU and graphics scores, while the iQOO scored higher in Vulkan. Those results describe the tested phones and modes—not every handset built around either chip.
How their CPU and GPU designs differ
MediaTek specifies a Dimensity 9400e CPU with four Cortex-X4 cores and four Cortex-A720 cores. One X4 core can run at up to 3.4 GHz, three at up to 2.85 GHz, and the four A720 cores at up to 2.0 GHz. The platform has 8 MB of L3 cache and 10 MB of system-level cache. MediaTek announced the chip on May 14, 2025, describing its process technology as TSMC third-generation 4nm.
Qualcomm lists a Kryo CPU clocked up to 3.2 GHz for the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, but its product page does not give a comparable core-by-core layout. That makes a direct architectural comparison incomplete: a peak clock alone does not show how different workloads use the CPU.

1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFor graphics, MediaTek names an Immortalis-G720 MC12 GPU. Qualcomm’s product page identifies an Adreno GPU without stating its model; an independent comparison identifies it as Adreno 825. Keep that model attribution separate from Qualcomm’s own specification.

| Test | iQOO Neo 10, Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 | realme GT 7, Dimensity 9400e |
|---|---|---|
| AnTuTu V10 | 1,960,780 | 2,236,357 |
| Geekbench 6 CPU, single-core / multi-core | 2,064 / 6,541 | 2,200 / 7,252 |
| Geekbench 6 GPU OpenCL | 13,920 | 14,945 |

| 3DMark Wild Life Extreme | 3,499 | 5,247 |
| 3DMark stress-test stability | 77.5% | 68.3% |
In this particular comparison, the realme scored higher in AnTuTu, Geekbench 6 CPU, OpenCL, and Wild Life Extreme; the iQOO scored higher in Vulkan and had the higher reported stress-test stability. Smartprix also found slightly higher frame rates for the realme in Wuthering Waves and BGMI, with Genshin Impact results close. Its measured temperatures were generally lower on the realme, but cooling can reflect the design of each tested phone as much as the platform.
Why other benchmark tables disagree
Results from other sources do not reproduce a single consistent ordering. NanoReview’s database, accessed in 2026, reports AnTuTu 10 totals of 2,082,208 for Snapdragon and 2,093,827 for Dimensity, plus Geekbench 6 scores of 2,154/6,880 and 2,233/7,258, respectively. 91mobiles lists 2,125,733 for the Dimensity 9400e and 2,366,913 for the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 in its comparison. These are database figures based on their own device pools and aggregation methods, not results from one shared test setup.
Notebookcheck’s account of MediaTek’s launch-event comparison reports 8,000 in Geekbench 6.2 multi-core and 99 fps in a 1440p GFXBench Aztec Ruins Vulkan test for the Dimensity 9400e, versus roughly 7,300 and 77 fps for Snapdragon. Notebookcheck cautions that MediaTek’s direct comparison is selectively framed and recommends hands-on testing. Treat those figures as vendor-event comparisons reported by Notebookcheck, not a neutral cross-phone verdict.

Benchmark versions, phones, performance modes, cooling, and aggregation methods differ. Small gaps between results should not be read as a reliable universal lead, and a GPU score in one API does not predict the ordering in another.
Which platform is better for gaming?
Neither chip can be called the universal gaming winner from the available evidence. The Dimensity-based realme GT 7 led several tests and some game frame-rate measurements in Smartprix’s comparison, while the Snapdragon-based iQOO Neo 10 won its Vulkan score and recorded higher stress-test stability. The difference in stability also shows why a high peak score does not, by itself, describe sustained performance.
For a purchase, compare the exact phone models and regional versions. Look for sustained gaming results, temperature behavior, cooling design, battery performance, and the games or graphics APIs you actually use. Chip-level feature lists cannot establish how long a particular phone will hold performance or how long its battery will last.
What to check before choosing a phone
- Exact model and region: Confirm the processor and feature set in the specific regional variant; platform support does not ensure every implementation.
- Cooling and sustained performance: Give stress tests and longer gaming sessions more weight than a single peak benchmark if you play for extended periods.
- Battery behavior: Compare independent tests of the actual handsets. MediaTek’s up-to-40% MFRC power-savings figure is conditional on enabling that feature and is not a head-to-head battery-life result.
- Software support and price: Check current manufacturer commitments, local pricing, and available configurations for the phones you can buy. These are handset-specific and cannot be inferred from the processor specifications.
- Connectivity and media needs: Verify that the phone implements the Wi-Fi, memory, display, camera, and video capabilities that matter to you.
The cited comparison phones are the iQOO Neo 10 and realme GT 7. They are examples of complete handset designs, not interchangeable tests of the chips in isolation; availability and configurations can vary by region.
