Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 leads the reported Geekbench 6 and total AnTuTu 11 aggregates, but those figures come from different device samples rather than a controlled, matched-phone test. The Dimensity 6100+ lists a higher peak 5G download rate. Neither result alone tells you which phone will be faster, last longer, or suit your carrier better.
Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 vs Dimensity 6100 Plus: key specifications
Both are 8-core 5G platforms with two cores clocked up to 2.2 GHz and six up to 2.0 GHz. They differ in graphics, modem specifications and supported features. The capabilities below describe the platforms; a phone maker chooses which supported components and features to implement.
| Specification | Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 | Dimensity 6100+ |
|---|---|---|
| CPU | 2 performance cores up to 2.2 GHz; 6 efficiency cores up to 2.0 GHz | 2 Arm Cortex-A76 cores up to 2.2 GHz; 6 Cortex-A55 cores up to 2.0 GHz |
| Graphics | Qualcomm Adreno GPU | Arm Mali-G57 MC2 |
| 5G modem and published peak rates | Snapdragon X61; downlink up to 2.5 Gbps and uplink up to 900 Mbps | 3GPP Release 16 modem; peak download up to 3.3 Gbps |
| Display support | FHD+ up to 120 Hz; HD+ up to 120 Hz | Up to 2520 × 1080 at 120 Hz |
| Camera support | Photo capture up to 108 MP, with specified single- and dual-camera configurations | ISP support up to 108 MP and 16 MP + 16 MP |
| Wireless | Wi-Fi 5; Bluetooth 5.1 | Wi-Fi 5; Bluetooth 5.2 |
| Memory and storage | Check the product brief and the specific handset configuration | LPDDR4x and UFS 2.2 support |
Specifications are from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 product brief and MediaTek’s Dimensity 6100+ product page. The phone’s actual display, camera sensors, memory, storage, wireless implementation and supported network bands depend on its exact model and regional version. A higher megapixel support limit does not, by itself, mean better photographs.

These are third-party aggregate figures, not results from two identical phones tested under the same conditions. Differences in cooling, software, memory, power settings and test conditions can affect a handset’s score, and the comparison page’s samples and benchmark versions can change. The results offer a directional comparison, not proof that every Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 phone will outperform every Dimensity 6100+ phone. See NanoReview’s live comparison.
Which is better for gaming?
The available platform specifications do not establish a gaming winner. The Snapdragon uses an Adreno GPU; the Dimensity uses Mali-G57 MC2. GPU family names alone do not show how a particular phone handles a game, especially over a longer session.
For a meaningful comparison, look for testing of the exact phones using the same game, graphics settings and resolution. Sustained frame rates can depend on cooling, power tuning, software and display resolution, not just the chipset.

Which has better 5G speed?
MediaTek lists peak download up to 3.3 Gbps for the Dimensity 6100+, while Qualcomm lists downlink up to 2.5 Gbps and uplink up to 900 Mbps for the Snapdragon X61. These are platform maximums, not expected everyday speeds or a direct network test. Carrier, coverage, supported bands, carrier aggregation and handset design all influence the connection you actually get.
MediaTek also says its modem supports up to 140 MHz of 2CC 5G carrier aggregation and that UltraSave 3.0+ reduces power consumption. Those are manufacturer claims, not independent measurements of a particular phone. Its 2023 launch announcement attributes the statement to CH Chen, Deputy General Manager of MediaTek’s Wireless Communications Business Unit: “The Dimensity 6100+ integrates an enhanced 5G modem supporting 3GPP Release 16 standard with up to 140MHz 2CC 5G Carrier Aggregation, significantly reducing power consumption contributed by MediaTek UltraSave 3.0+ technology.” Read MediaTek’s announcement.
Which phone should you buy?
Choose between specific handsets, not chipset names in isolation. The chip specifications and aggregate benchmarks do not establish which phone has better battery life, sustained performance, cameras, software support or value.
Quick Recap
- Check the exact phone’s supported 5G bands and carrier aggregation for your region and provider.
- Compare memory and storage configurations; platform support does not guarantee what the manufacturer installs.
- Review the actual display resolution and refresh rate, camera hardware and image processing.
- Look for device-level testing of sustained performance, gaming and battery life under comparable conditions.
- Compare software support, price and availability for the exact model and regional version.
