Snapchat Streak Restores: How Many You Get and When You Can Use Them

Every Snapchat user gets one free Streak Restore. Snapchat+ adds one free Restore per subscription month, and you can buy additional restores in the app after your available free restores are used. Each restore is only available for a limited time after a streak expires.

How many free Snapstreak restores do you get?

Snapchat gives each user one free Streak Restore. Snapchat+ subscribers also receive one free in-app Restore per subscription month. These are separate allowances, so a Snapchat+ subscriber may have the monthly benefit in addition to the standard free Restore, depending on whether either has already been used and when the subscription month resets.

There is no stated universal lifetime or monthly maximum that covers every user. After the free Restore or restores available to you have been used, Snapchat says additional restores can be purchased in-app. Every restore still depends on the streak being recent enough to qualify.

How the Snapchat+ monthly Restore works

Snapchat+ provides one free Restore per subscription month. The allowance resets on the same day of the month that the subscription began. Unused restores do not roll over, and any additional restores during that subscription period require an in-app purchase.

1. Open My Account in Snapchat.
2. Tap the Snapchat+ membership card.
3. Tap Streak Restore.
4. Select a recently expired streak if it is eligible.

How to check whether a streak can be restored

Open the one-on-one or group Chat for the expired streak and look for the Restore button beside the conversation. Snapchat describes the eligibility period as limited but does not publish an exact number of hours or days. If the button is missing, Snapchat says the streak usually ended too long ago to restore in-app.

What a paid Restore costs

Snapchat does not give one price that applies everywhere. Snapchat Support says the cost varies by country, and the amount displayed on your device is the amount charged. Check the in-app price before confirming a purchase.

What to do if Restore is unavailable or fails

• No Restore button: The streak may be outside the limited eligibility period. Snapchat does not state a precise cutoff.
• A restore attempt fails: Submit Snapchat’s support request form for review. Snapchat cautions that only recently expired streaks can be restored, so a request is not a guarantee.
• An in-app purchase has a problem: Snapchat directs users to Apple or Google purchase support, depending on the device.
