The Smartmi P1 is a compact air purifier rated by its maker for rooms of 17.5–30 m², with a particle CADR of 250 m³/h. But the model code in the title, ZMKQJHQPII, is not reconciled by the available manufacturer documentation: Smartmi’s manual lists ZMKQJHQP11 and ZMKQJHQP12. The published noise figures also conflict, and the accessible CHOICE review does not disclose its detailed test results. Treat the figures below as attributed specifications, not proof of independently verified performance.
Which Smartmi P1 model does this review cover?
The exact string “ZMKQJHQPII” appears in the title of CHOICE’s review, but Smartmi’s manual identifies the P1 variants as ZMKQJHQP11 and ZMKQJHQP12. The available official material does not establish whether these are equivalent identifiers, a regional variation, or a transcription difference. Do not assume the codes are interchangeable when checking a listing or replacement filter.
CHOICE marks its Australian listing discontinued. Smartmi’s US product page still lists the P1, so availability depends on the market; the Australian status does not establish that the product is discontinued everywhere. CHOICE’s review page exposes some specifications, but restricts its expert rating and detailed test results to members.
What are the P1’s published specifications?
Smartmi’s US product page and its manual differ slightly on dimensions and noise. The table preserves each source’s figures rather than combining them. CADR figures are manufacturer-published specifications, not independent results established here.

Smartmi also claims the P1 captures 99.97% of particles above 0.3 microns and 99.98% above 0.08 microns. Those are manufacturer claims; they should not be read as independent test findings. The manual specifies 24 V rated voltage. Smartmi’s US product page and the P1 user manual are the sources for the respective columns.
How loud is the Smartmi P1?
There is no single reconciled noise range in the published material: Smartmi’s product page gives 19–49 dB, while its manual gives 30–60 dB(A). The sources do not explain the measurement conditions or why the figures differ. Since the units and conditions are not established as comparable, neither range should be treated as a definitive independent measurement or used to predict exact noise in a particular room.

What does the available independent review establish?
CHOICE’s accessible page lists specifications including a claimed 30 m² room size, 3.2 kg weight, dimensions of 36 × 22 × 22 cm, claimed dust CADR of 255 m³/h, and an A$299 price. It also lists a replacement-filter cost of A$59 and shows A$59 per year, alongside a 6–12 month filter interval. These are CHOICE page entries, not a substitute for its withheld test results; the accessible material does not establish a performance score, ranking, measured noise, or individual dust, smoke, VOC, and ease-of-use outcomes.
CHOICE also lists HEPA H13 and a claimed 99.97% bacteria/virus removal figure. Those entries do not change the distinction between a published claim and a disclosed independent result. The CHOICE page is marked discontinued for Australia.

What should you know about filters and upkeep?
Smartmi recommends replacing the filter generally every 6–12 months, depending on daily air conditions. Its support guidance suggests a shorter interval in homes with an open kitchen, multiple pets, or indoor smoking. Confirm that a replacement is explicitly compatible with the P1 and with the exact unit you own, particularly if the model code on your unit differs from the manual’s identifiers.
Smartmi’s support instructions say to open the filter bay by turning the handle on the bottom counter-clockwise. The manufacturer sells a three-stage allergy-control replacement filter, described as having a preliminary layer for larger particles, an H13 True HEPA layer, and a pollen-focused layer. The filter page also displayed an odor-stop version in product navigation. Any price or stock status can change; the manufacturer page showed a US$39 sale price and in-stock status when accessed on October 7, 2026, not a guaranteed current or recurring price. See Smartmi’s P1 replacement-filter page and support information.

Does the P1 work with smart-home services?
Smartmi lists compatibility with Smartmi Link, Google Assistant, Alexa, and Apple HomeKit. Its setup guidance says the phone and purifier need to be on the same 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network; the support FAQ likewise says the app connection works only on 2.4 GHz. This is manufacturer guidance, not a hands-on setup test.

The published specifications position the P1 for a relatively small room, with a manufacturer-recommended area up to 30 m². Before buying, check the specific unit’s model code, current availability in your country, and the cost and compatibility of replacement filters. The source material does not support a comparative performance recommendation: CHOICE’s detailed results are gated, and its Australian entry is discontinued.
