Skullcandy Push Play Active is a workout-focused true wireless earbud set with flexible over-ear hangers, an IP55 rating and a manufacturer-claimed 34 hours of total battery life. Its feature set covers the basics for exercise, but there is an important catch: the earbuds do not work with the Skullcandy app. Battery figures are manufacturer claims, and the available evidence does not establish independent performance for fit, sound, calls or durability.
Is Skullcandy Push Play Active good for workouts?
It is designed for workouts: the earbuds have flexible over-ear hangers, and Skullcandy lists an IP55 rating for sweat, dust and water resistance. That combination makes them a plausible option for exercise where a more secure style and resistance to sweat or splashes matter. IP55 does not mean the earbuds are suitable for submersion.
The UK listing says the box includes S, M and L ear gels, a charging case, a USB-C cable and guides. Multiple gel sizes give you options to adjust the in-ear fit, but they do not establish that the hangers or ear gels will feel secure or comfortable for every person. The manufacturer positions the product for active use in any weather; that is marketing language, not independent evidence of durability in all conditions.
How long does the battery last?
Skullcandy claims up to 10 hours of playback from the earbuds on one charge, plus 24 additional hours from the case, for up to 34 hours total. It also claims that a 10-minute charge provides more than two hours of playback. These are manufacturer figures; independently measured runtime is not established here. Real use can differ from the stated maximum.

Skullcandy recommends drying the earbuds before returning them to the charging case. The resistance rating is not a reason to store wet earbuds in the case.
What features and controls do you get?
- Bluetooth 5.3 and multipoint: Skullcandy says two paired devices can be connected, but audio does not play from both at once. Starting playback on one device pauses the other stream.
- Three EQ presets: Music, Bass Boost and Podcast.
- Stay-Aware Mode: A listening mode intended to let in surrounding sound.
- Solo Mode: Either earbud can be used on its own.
- Touch controls and voice assistant: The product supports touch control and local activation of a voice assistant.
- Clear Voice Smart Mic: Skullcandy describes its microphone system as using AI software to isolate speech and reduce background noise. That is the manufacturer’s description, not an independent call-quality result.
One notable limitation is app support: Skullcandy’s support FAQ says Push Play Active does not connect to the Skullcandy app. The listed EQ presets are features of the earbuds, but shoppers should not expect app-based customization for this model.

Should you buy Skullcandy Push Play Active?
Consider them if you want workout-oriented earbuds with flexible hangers, an IP55 rating, multipoint switching, awareness mode and a manufacturer-claimed long combined battery life. Look elsewhere if app connection or app-based sound customization is essential. The available information also does not support a confident verdict on sound quality, fit across different ears, noisy-environment call performance or long-term reliability.
For price and stock, check the listing for your market: the UK page showed £49.99 and out-of-stock status when accessed, while the India page showed a notify-me availability state. Those are regional page snapshots, not guaranteed current prices or availability. The UK listing also displayed 3.68/5 from 444 reviews at that time. Skullcandy’s support FAQ states a one-year limited warranty for manufacturer defects; confirm the applicable terms in your market.
