October 2026 has six Apple-related dates worth noting, but they are not six product launches. The calendar includes a reported New York experience, two developer lab sessions, a business purchasing change, the start of iPhone Duo availability, and a developer event in Cupertino. The October 13 experience is reported by Macworld; the other dated entries below come from Apple.
Apple dates to know in October 2026
| Date | What is happening | Who it is for | What to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| October 13, 9 a.m. ET | “Welcome Home” experience in New York | Media and invited attendees | Macworld reported that Apple confirmed a special hands-on experience. It is not established as a conventional public keynote. Possible smart-home products mentioned in coverage remain rumors, not confirmed announcements. Macworld’s report, updated October 8. |
| October 13, 6–7 p.m. PT | iPhone Duo Group Labs | App developers | An official session with Apple engineers; it is separate from the New York experience. Apple Developer’s October 2026 schedule. |
| October 15, 9–10 a.m. PT | iPhone Duo Group Labs | App developers | A second official Group Labs session. Apple Developer’s October 2026 schedule. |
| October 22 | Volume Purchasing launches | Businesses and organizations using App Store Connect | Apple lists the launch date. Group Purchases are described separately as coming “this winter,” with no specific day given. Apple Developer Latest News. |
| October 23 | iPhone Duo availability begins | Device buyers and developers | Apple says the device will be available starting on this date and notes that app submissions are open. The cited page does not state price or regional availability. Apple Developer’s October 2026 schedule. |
| October 29, all day | “Boost your app’s speed and efficiency,” Cupertino | App developers | Apple’s event covers using Xcode and Instruments to identify performance opportunities, analyze diagnostics, and act on findings. The page offers an in-person request option and livestream signup but does not state a start time. Apple Developer’s October 2026 schedule. |
What the dates mean for you
If you are considering a device
October 23 is the date to watch for iPhone Duo availability. Apple’s cited announcement does not establish price or which regions will have it, so check Apple’s current local store information before making a purchase decision.
If you build apps
The October 13 and 15 Group Labs are developer sessions, not consumer launch events. The October 29 Cupertino program is also developer-focused; its stated subject is app performance work using Xcode and Instruments.

If you manage organizational app purchases
October 22 is the date Apple gives for Volume Purchasing. Do not treat that date as a launch date for Group Purchases: Apple only describes the latter as arriving in winter.

Is Apple holding an October event?
Macworld reports an Apple-confirmed “Welcome Home” experience in New York on October 13 at 9 a.m. ET. The available description characterizes it as a hands-on experience, not necessarily a public keynote. Apple’s developer sessions on October 13 and 15 are separate events, and neither should be presented as the New York experience.
Macworld’s mention of a smart-home display, HomePod mini, and Apple TV is speculation about possible products, not confirmation that Apple will announce or release them at the experience.

How to read this calendar
These six entries are a mix of event types and audiences, not six confirmed product launches. Four dated items are listed on Apple Developer pages, including two separate Group Labs sessions; the October 13 New York experience is reported by Macworld. For broader context, Apple’s archive lists September 18 store arrivals for its latest iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods lineups, and September 22 availability for new Mac mini and Mac Studio models. Those are past dates, not October events. Apple Newsroom archive.
