To install a SiteLock Trust Seal, customize it in the SiteLock dashboard, save the settings, copy the generated Install Code, and add that snippet to the part of your website where you want the badge to appear. Publish the change and allow up to 24 hours for it to show. The seal’s visibility also depends on SiteLock’s security checks: consecutive failures can cause it to disappear until the issues are fixed.
Before you start
You need access to the SiteLock dashboard for the website and a way to add custom code to that site. The exact insertion method depends on how the site is built: you might edit a site file, use a CMS’s header or footer custom-code setting, or use a website builder’s code component.
Use the snippet generated for your website in the dashboard. SiteLock describes the Trust Seal as a code snippet added to existing website code to display a badge; it is not simply a static badge image.

- Sign in to SiteLock. Open the dashboard for the website where you want the seal.
- Customize the badge. In the Trust Seal controls, choose the language, color, size, and style.
- Save the configuration. Save your choices before copying the code.
- Copy the Install Code. Copy the snippet displayed in the dashboard for that site.
- Add the snippet where the badge should appear. SiteLock lists index, header, and footer files as common locations. If you use a CMS, look for a custom-code setting or widget for the relevant page, header, or footer.
- Save or publish your site changes. Check the live page and allow up to 24 hours for the update to appear.

Show the seal on one page
Add the snippet to the code or custom-code area for the page where visitors should see it. This suits a badge intended for a particular page rather than the whole site.

Show the seal site-wide
Add the snippet in a shared header or footer location if your platform applies that area across the site. Check the live pages after publishing to confirm the badge appears where expected.
Use a website builder or CMS
In WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, or another CMS, the insertion point depends on the theme and setup; look for a custom-code option that targets the intended page or the site header or footer. For example, one.com’s Website Builder instructions use a Code component, which can be positioned on a page or placed in a header or footer for site-wide display. That component is available on one.com’s Premium and Business + E-commerce tiers; this is a one.com-specific limitation, not a general SiteLock requirement.

What the Trust Seal indicates
SiteLock’s documentation describes the seal as connected to the SiteLock dashboard and scan results, and ties it to an active subscription and the security checks included with that service. The badge can be hidden after repeated consecutive failures in dashboard security reports, and may return after the underlying issues are corrected. Treat it as a status-dependent badge, not a static image or an unconditional guarantee that a site is secure.

If the seal does not appear
- Check that the site change was published. Saving code in an editor or builder may not publish it to the live page.
- Check the insertion location. Confirm the snippet is in the page, shared header, or footer where you expect the badge to display.
- Review the SiteLock dashboard reports. Consecutive security-check failures can hide the seal. Correct the reported issues, then allow up to 24 hours for it to return.
- Allow time after changing appearance settings. SiteLock says saved configuration changes can take up to 24 hours to appear. You do not need to add the snippet again just because you changed the seal’s settings.
- Ask for help with custom positioning. SiteLock says it can install the seal at the top or bottom of a website. A custom position may need a site administrator or developer to account for the site layout and viewport breakpoints.
- Contact SiteLock Support if it remains missing. If the seal still does not appear after the stated wait and you have checked the page placement and dashboard status, contact SiteLock Support.
