Which W-Engine should Sigrid use?
Knight’s Extolment
Knight’s Extolment is Sigrid’s signature W-Engine and the top choice in the reviewed guides. Prydwen reports that at S1 it provides 48% CRIT DMG from its main stat, up to 64% more from its effect, and 20% Ice Resistance Ignore at full stacks. Those are guide-reported equipment values. The effect requires Heavy Attacks; Prydwen says an early EX Special helps build stacks and Basic Attacks refresh them.

Non-limited alternatives
- The Brimstone: Prydwen’s preferred non-limited option. It avoids adding CRIT Rate, and Sigrid’s frequent Basic Attacks help maintain its effect.
- Severed Innocence: A usable stat stick, according to Prydwen.
- Starlight Engine: A craftable fallback, though Prydwen says it lags behind the stronger options.
Which Drive Discs and main stats are best?
Choose the set around your team and investment rather than treating one ranking as definitive. Dawn’s Bloom is a natural fit for Sigrid’s Basic Attack damage focus. Prydwen’s generalist Hormone Punk recommendation and its Dialyn-specific Puffer Electro recommendation are credible alternatives. No reviewed guide establishes a universal winner for every team.
- For a straightforward starting build: 4-piece Dawn’s Bloom with 2-piece Branch & Blade Song; use CRIT DMG, Ice DMG%, and ATK% on Disks 4, 5, and 6.
- For Prydwen’s generalist setup: 4-piece Hormone Punk, with CRIT DMG or ATK% on Disk 4, PEN Ratio on Disk 5, and ATK% on Disk 6.
- With Dialyn: Prydwen recommends 4-piece Puffer Electro.
One stat detail matters: Sigrid’s Core Passive can provide up to 66% CRIT Rate. Prydwen displays a target of 33.8% CRIT Rate before that passive. Avoid stacking CRIT Rate without accounting for the passive; CRIT DMG and other offensive stats can be more useful once the effective rate is covered.

How does Sigrid’s combat loop work?
Sigrid’s main damage loop revolves around Aerial Patrol Spear and the enhanced Basic Attack: Converging Spear. Unbridled Spear attacks enter or refresh Aerial Patrol Spear and supply another Converging Spear use. Icy Veins lists EX Special, Assist Follow-Up, Chain Attack, Ultimate, Dodge Counter, and the fourth Basic hit among the attacks that can trigger this interaction.
Converging Spear has three stages, with Stage 3 described by Icy Veins as its hardest hit. The state timer shortens as the attack advances: 8 seconds for Stage 1, 7 for Stage 2, and 6 for Stage 3. The practical aim is to spend enhanced attacks before the state expires and line their damage up with the enemy’s stun window.

Rotation principles
- Use an Unbridled Spear attack to enter or refresh Aerial Patrol Spear.
- Spend the granted enhanced Basic Attack rather than letting the short state timer expire.
- Use another qualifying attack to refresh the state and gain another enhanced attack.
- Coordinate the strongest Converging Spear hits with stun and the active team buffs.
Prydwen’s sample sequence for a Norma team begins with enhanced Basic 3 and then cycles through Chain Attacks, enhanced Basics, EX, and Ultimate. It is a template, not a fixed rotation: stun duration, whether the enemy can be frozen, and team composition change the order.
What teams work well with Sigrid?
Build around a Stunner who can provide Daze and a useful stun window, plus a Support whose buffs remain active during Sigrid’s burst. Prydwen highlights Norma, Dialyn, and Lycaon as leading Stunner options, and Sunna, Rina, and Astra Yao as competitive Supports. Their relative value depends on the team’s Chain Attack, Decibel, buff, and PEN needs; the recommendations are guide assessments, not controlled comparisons.

When choosing among available teammates, prioritize reliable Daze, a stun window long enough to land enhanced attacks, extra Chain Attack or Decibel generation when useful, and buffs that persist through Sigrid’s burst.

- Equip your best available W-Engine. Use Knight’s Extolment if you have it; otherwise consider The Brimstone before lower-performing fallbacks.
- Pick a Disc direction that fits your team. Dawn’s Bloom is an accessible Basic Attack-focused starting point; consider Hormone Punk generally or Puffer Electro with Dialyn.
- Check CRIT Rate with the Core Passive in mind. Prydwen’s 33.8% displayed target is before the passive’s stated maximum 66% bonus.
- Practice the state timer. Refresh Aerial Patrol Spear with Unbridled Spear attacks and land enhanced Basics before the state expires, ideally during stun.
