Sifu Mobile launched on October 12, 2026 for iOS and Android. Sloclap’s adaptation includes the complete revenge story and its distinctive aging-after-death system, while adding touch controls, a redesigned camera, improved contextual interactions and full controller support.
What Sifu Mobile includes
Sifu is a third-person Kung Fu brawler from Sloclap, an independent studio founded in Paris in 2015. You play a martial-arts student pursuing the people who murdered your family. The campaign moves through locations such as a nightclub, an art gallery and an office building, with each run teaching you more about enemy patterns, routes and timing.
The mobile release retains the complete story campaign rather than offering a shortened companion experience. Its combat is built around dodging, parrying, strikes, combos and positioning. You can also turn the environment into part of your attack: throwable objects, windows and ledges create opportunities to control groups or finish vulnerable enemies.
Why death makes the protagonist older
A mysterious amulet revives the protagonist after a defeat, but every death increases their age. You return to the fight with the knowledge gained from the failed attempt, yet move closer to a final death that ends the run. The age mechanic makes failure a strategic trade-off instead of a simple restart: repeated deaths can help you learn a stage, but an aging character has less room for mistakes later in the campaign.

Progress therefore comes from practice as much as from permanent advancement. Learning when to evade, when to parry and where to stand can matter more than attacking continuously. The official store description captures the intended loop as “Kung Fu is mastery through practice, a path for both the body and the mind,” alongside the warning that “Adaptation is Survival.”
What was changed for phones and tablets
- Touch controls: The iOS listing says the game has new controls designed specifically for mobile devices, rather than simply mapping a desktop interface onto a screen.
- Reworked camera: The camera system was adjusted for mobile play, where a smaller display and touch input can make situational awareness harder.
- Enhanced contextual interactions: Environmental actions and other context-sensitive prompts were revised for the mobile edition.
- Controller support: Both the iOS and Android listings state that full controller support is included.
These are adaptation features, not evidence of a measured performance advantage over a console or PC version. No independent mobile performance test has established a universal frame-rate or graphics comparison.

The iOS store listing requires iOS 18.0 or later and reports an app size of 2.1 GB for the listing observed. The download can require additional free space during installation or updates, so keeping more than the listed size available is prudent.
Android phones and tablets
Android guidance recommends at least 6 GB of RAM. The listing warns that devices with less memory may encounter performance problems or crashes. RAM is only one part of compatibility; chipset, graphics hardware, operating-system version, thermal limits and available storage can also affect play, and supported-device lists may change with updates.

Touch play is the simplest way to start. A controller is worth considering if you plan long sessions or find precise defensive timing uncomfortable on a glass screen.
Story, replayability and extra modes
The campaign is designed around repeated attempts: failures reveal attack patterns and shortcuts, while unlocked skills and accumulated knowledge improve later runs. Beyond the story, the free Arenas expansion adds five game modes, nine dynamic locations and 45 challenges, according to the official Sifu website. Those activities provide structured goals after you have learned the campaign’s core combat.

Availability is live on both major mobile stores, but prices, ratings and supported-device information are regional and can change. For example, an App Store listing observed in the Philippines showed ₱299 and seven ratings; that is not a universal price or a reliable review consensus. Why the launch matters
Sloclap says Sifu (2022) has sold more than 4 million units across all platforms and received multiple industry awards. Bringing the full campaign to phones and tablets makes its demanding, practice-driven combat available in a portable format without removing the central risk-and-reward system. The result is still a game about learning through failure, now adapted for touch screens or a mobile-compatible controller.
