The Bloomingdale’s store credit card may suit shoppers who can use its short-lived new-account discount and pay the resulting bill in full. The official card page reviewed on October 7, 2026, advertised 25% off purchases today and tomorrow, up to $250 in savings, while the published standard terms describe 20% off eligible merchandise. The store card’s disclosed purchase APR is 32.99% variable as of November 4, 2025, so interest can quickly outweigh a one-time discount if you carry a balance.
How much can you save with the Bloomingdale’s card?
The Bloomingdale’s card gateway advertised 25% off today and tomorrow, with savings capped at $250, when reviewed on October 7, 2026. The offer is subject to credit approval. Bloomingdale’s standard new-account terms describe a 20% discount over the approval day and the following day, also capped at $250, and say promotional offers may vary in percentage, cap, and duration. Treat the 25% as a promotion observed at that time, not a permanent card benefit. Check the terms displayed during your application for the offer actually available.

The discount is for eligible merchandise on a new account, not a general rebate on anything you buy. Under the standard terms, you must be approved immediately; applications that need additional processing do not qualify. The discount excludes previous purchases, gift cards, services, and certain designers, brands, and leased departments. It generally cannot be combined with other discounts unless the offer says otherwise. Rather than reducing the checkout total, it appears as a separate line on your billing statement. Because the discount is capped, the headline percentage does not mean every purchase earns that rate without limit. Before applying, identify what you actually plan to buy during the eligible period and confirm that those items qualify. The current promotion’s exact exclusions and conditions may differ from the standard terms.

What does the card cost if you carry a balance?
Bloomingdale’s/Citibank’s card disclosure lists a 32.99% variable purchase APR as of November 4, 2025. The disclosure’s rate calculation used a 7.00% U.S. Prime Rate plus a 25.99% margin; because the APR is variable, it can change with the market. The card has no annual fee, but the disclosure lists late-payment and returned-payment fees of up to $41 each. Check the Bloomingdale’s Card disclosure for the governing terms and a current rate.
The disclosure says the payment due date is at least 25 days after each billing cycle closes. It says purchase interest is not charged when you pay the entire relevant balance by the due date, subject to excluded-balance details in the agreement. That is not a blanket promise that every balance or transaction avoids interest. If you expect to carry a balance, the high variable APR can erase the value of the introductory savings; the card is a poor fit for financing a purchase over time.

How do Loyallist points work?
Eligible Bloomingdale’s store-card purchases earn Loyallist points. At the base tier, the rate is 3 points per dollar; higher tiers list 4 or 10 points per dollar. Bloomingdale’s says 5,000 points convert to a $25 reward. Rewards are store-program rewards—not cash back or a credit against the card bill—and expire 180 days after issuance. Redemption is subject to the program’s terms, so their practical value depends on whether you will use them within that window. Review the Loyallist program terms.

What happens when you apply?
Bloomingdale’s says online application decisions are usually immediate, though a decision may take 7–10 business days. If approved, you can begin shopping and use the new-account discount; the physical card should arrive within 7–10 business days. The standard discount still requires immediate approval, so a delayed decision does not qualify under those terms. See Bloomingdale’s online application guidance.

- Potentially worthwhile: You already shop at Bloomingdale’s, have eligible purchases planned during the discount window, and can pay the full relevant balance by its due date.
- Less suitable: Your planned items may be excluded, you would need to carry a balance, or you are unlikely to use Loyallist rewards before they expire.
- Not a basis for applying: A hoped-for approval or an assumed discount. Approval is not guaranteed, and the exact offer and eligibility rules should be checked in the application flow.
