The Lava Virat Curve 5G looks like a potentially strong-value phone in India if you want a curved 120Hz AMOLED screen, a large battery and an unusual rear mini display. Its reported launch price was ₹23,999, but that figure alone does not settle whether it is good value today: current offers, your preferences and the limits of the available review evidence matter.
What the Lava Virat Curve 5G offers
The phone combines a 6.67-inch full-HD+ curved AMOLED display, a 120Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chipset, 5G connectivity and a 6,000mAh battery. Gadgets 360 also reports peak brightness of 1,100 nits. These specifications make the phone’s appeal easy to understand: a large, fast-refreshing screen and substantial battery capacity are paired with a mid-range chipset and a distinctive extra display on the back.
Business Standard reported a launch price of ₹23,999 in India. Treat that as a launch reference, not a current quote: prices, stock and offers can change. Check the live price before deciding whether the feature mix represents good value for you. Business Standard’s review and Gadgets 360’s launch coverage report the price and core specifications.

Curved 120Hz AMOLED display
A 120Hz refresh rate can make scrolling and supported animations look smoother than on a lower-refresh-rate screen. The curved AMOLED panel is also a defining part of this phone’s package. Whether that is a benefit is personal: some buyers prefer the immersive look, while others would rather have a flat display. The reported 1,100-nit peak brightness is a specification, not a guarantee of visibility in every lighting condition.

Large battery, with promising but non-identical review evidence
The 6,000mAh capacity is a meaningful hardware advantage for buyers who prioritize battery size. Review figures offer context, but they come from different methods and should not be treated as directly interchangeable:
| Source and measure | Reported result | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| Beebom Gadgets, review period in 2026 | About eight hours of average screen-on time | A review-period observation; individual runtime varies with settings, signal, apps and usage. |
| 91mobiles, PCMark battery test | 12.2 hours | A database test result using PCMark, not a screen-on-time observation. |
| 91mobiles, charging figure | 1.3 hours from 20% to 100% | A reported database figure for that charging interval. |
Beebom says its verdict uses the launch price and reports roughly eight hours of average screen-on time during its review. 91mobiles lists the PCMark and charging figures. The methods differ, so the PCMark result should not be read as an estimate of ordinary screen-on time. Beebom Gadgets’ review and 91mobiles’ specifications page provide those respective results.

Rear mini display and finish
The small rear display can show notifications, the time, battery level, volume, emojis and custom messages, according to Gadgets 360’s sale coverage. It adds personality and may be useful for quick glances, but the listed functions do not establish that it is more convenient than using the main screen. Consider it an extra feature rather than a reason by itself to buy the phone.
Business Standard also highlights the vegan-leather finish. That gives the design a distinguishing detail, though the available review information does not establish how the material wears over time.

What the available reviews say—and what they do not establish
Business Standard describes the phone as capable and identifies the rear display and vegan-leather finish as standout features, alongside smooth everyday performance and battery capacity. That is a publication’s review assessment, not a guarantee of identical performance for every user. Beebom’s battery observation is likewise specific to its review period.
The cited material does not provide enough substantiated detail for a definitive camera verdict, a quantified software-support commitment or a rigorous ranking against named alternatives. Those are important buying questions, but they cannot be answered from the published specifications alone.

Camera, performance and software: questions to weigh before buying
Camera expectations
Business Standard reports a 50MP main camera using a Sony IMX752 sensor and a 13MP front camera. Megapixel counts and sensor names do not establish image quality. If photography is a priority, look for sample images and review findings that address daylight, low light, motion, portraits and video before you commit.
Everyday performance
The Dimensity 7100 and 5G support identify the phone’s platform and connectivity, while Business Standard reports smooth everyday performance in its review. The available information does not establish results for demanding games, sustained heavy workloads or every user’s app mix. Match expectations to your actual use rather than assuming the chipset label settles performance.

Software experience and support
The cited sources do not establish a specific software-update policy or a detailed software experience. If update longevity, preinstalled apps or interface behavior is a deciding factor, confirm those points with current product information or a full review before purchasing.
How to decide whether it is good value for you
- Check the price you can actually pay. ₹23,999 is the reported Indian launch price, not a verified current offer. Compare the live price and any applicable terms with other phones available to you.
- Choose curved or flat deliberately. The curved screen is central to this model’s character; do not assume it suits your grip or preferences just because it is AMOLED and 120Hz.
- Prioritize the features you will use. The large battery and fast-refreshing display are core benefits; the rear mini display is an optional convenience whose practical value depends on your habits.
- Check the evidence that matters to your use. Seek camera samples, software details and performance coverage if those are more important to you than design or battery capacity.
Verdict
The Lava Virat Curve 5G has a persuasive hardware mix for buyers drawn to a curved 120Hz AMOLED display, a 6,000mAh battery and a distinctive rear screen. Reviews cited here are positive about everyday capability and battery, but the evidence does not settle camera quality, long-term software support or a direct comparison with alternatives. It is best viewed as a potentially strong-value choice at a suitable current price—not an automatic bargain based on its launch price or feature list alone.
