What was reported?
Screener’s Shah Construction Company profile lists a pledge disclosure dated 13 October 2026. It says 30,706 shares were pledged on 8 October 2026 and describes that quantity as 19.04% of the company’s equity capital. The dates are distinct: 8 October is the reported date of the pledge; 13 October is the date the disclosure appeared in the listing.
The announcement title identifies CTL Trusteeship as the pledgee and says the pledging party is a company promoter. The accessible summary does not name the individual promoter. Shah Construction Company is listed on BSE under code 509870.
What does a share pledge mean?
A pledge is an encumbrance over shares: the shares are provided as security for an obligation, subject to the applicable terms. That is different from an outright sale or a transfer of ownership. The existence of this reported pledge, by itself, does not establish that it was invoked, that the promoter lost control, or that the company or promoter defaulted.

The 19.04% figure is reported as a percentage of Shah Construction’s equity capital. It should not be read as the percentage of the promoter’s own holding that was pledged, the promoter’s total holding, or a measure of voting control.
What is not established by the available summary?
The accessible announcement summary does not state the obligation secured, the reason for creating the pledge, or its detailed terms. It also does not confirm whether a later filing released, invoked, or amended the pledge. The summary is secondary information rather than the underlying 13 October exchange filing, so it is not enough to establish those legal and transaction details.
