Its documented editor includes text, overlays, transitions, cropping, speed changes, and stock music. The free workflow supports basic edits; advanced creation features are paid. ScreenPal also lists local export, which is useful when you want a copy beyond a hosted share link. Source: ScreenPal recorder.

Choose Loom for fast trimming and team-ready messages

Loom’s editing options depend on plan. Business lists basic waveform editing, trim, and stitch, while Business + AI adds text-based editing, silence and filler-word removal, and AI-generated titles, summaries, and chapters. If your priority is sending a concise update rather than building a polished instructional video, Loom’s video-message workflow may be more convenient. Source: Atlassian Loom pricing.

Which is better for sharing and team collaboration?

Loom is built around asynchronous workplace video messages: record, share a link, and let coworkers respond with comments or emoji reactions. It also lists libraries and integrations. Atlassian Support describes Loom as a video messaging tool for instantly shareable videos and says users can record camera, microphone, and desktop screen simultaneously. Source: Loom support.

ScreenPal offers a different mix: its free hosting, share links, folders, channels, visibility settings, and password settings support distributing and organizing videos. Its browser extension is aimed at quick video messages, too, but the feature emphasis in its recorder materials is broader recording and editing control. Review which privacy settings your workflow requires; some Loom privacy controls are paid. Sources: ScreenPal recorder and Atlassian Loom pricing.
