Receipt apps can earn you small rewards, but they do not all pay cash—and the available evidence does not support a verified list of 11 currently active receipt-scanning apps. The clearest options differ: Fetch awards points for catalog rewards, Ibotta offers cash back on qualifying purchases, Receipt Hog lets users redeem coins after a threshold, and Amazon Shopper Panel is an invitation-only program with limited availability.
What “getting paid for receipts” means
There are two different models. Some apps accept eligible receipts and award points or coins that you later exchange for rewards. Others pay cash back only when you activate an offer and buy the specified product. Amazon Shopper Panel offers a limited monthly reward for eligible receipts, but its redemption is Amazon Balance or a charity donation—not cash.
None of these rewards should be treated as meaningful income. What you receive depends on the receipts or offers you qualify for, purchases you already planned, and rules that can change. Do not buy something solely to earn a reward unless the purchase makes sense without it.

How to choose between them
- Want a cash-out route? Ibotta is the clearest cash-back option here, but only for offers you activate and purchases that qualify. Receipt Hog lists PayPal as a redemption choice after its coin threshold.
- Prefer rewards over cash? Fetch trades points for catalog rewards; Amazon Shopper Panel offers Amazon Balance or donation credit to eligible participants.
- Need an open sign-up? Amazon Shopper Panel is invitation-only. Check each app’s current terms and availability before spending time collecting receipts.
- Do not compare advertised totals as guaranteed earnings. Ibotta’s annual average is a company claim and cannot be compared directly with points, coins, or Amazon’s monthly ceiling.
Receipt rules and privacy to check first
Receipt eligibility is not universal. Check accepted retailers, receipt age limits, whether digital receipts count, and how long approval or redemption takes. For example, Fetch’s published rules set a 14-day limit for physical receipts and say reward processing can take up to 72 hours; other apps may use different rules.

Receipts reveal where you shop and what you buy. Fetch says its digital-receipt feature requires an email or consumer-account connection and access to transactional information such as receipts and order confirmations. Amazon says participants choose what to share, including extracted retailer and product information; it also says sensitive information such as prescription information is deleted. Amazon describes participation as voluntary and says users can stop sharing or delete receipts. Review each service’s current privacy notice and account permissions before connecting an inbox or retailer account.

The available current information does not establish 11 equivalent, active receipt-scanning apps with verified terms. Adding unrelated cashback portals or services without current confirmation would make the list less useful, not more complete. Finder’s comparison, updated September 18, 2026, reports that Shopkick and Dosh have ceased operating; neither should be presented as an active recommendation without newer confirmation.
