The Satechi ChargeView 240W is a six-port USB-C desktop charger best suited to a MacBook and several lower-power devices—not six devices each drawing their maximum. Satechi rates it for up to 240W combined, but its published allocation with all six ports in use is 70W, 70W, 30W, 20W, 20W and 20W. The display and all-USB-C design make it a tidy desk option; the lack of USB-A and the shared output are the key trade-offs.
What the ChargeView 240W delivers
The US model is ST-C6CV240C-US. It has six USB-C ports and a stated combined output ceiling of 240W. That number describes the charger’s total capacity, not a promise that each connected device receives its port’s single-device maximum at the same time. Satechi’s product page identifies the model and its overall capacity.
Port capabilities differ by group. Satechi specifies the following single-port maxima and charging standards:
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems| Port(s) | Maximum when used alone | Supported standard |
|---|---|---|
| C1, C2 | Up to 140W each | USB PD 3.2 EPR with AVS and PPS |
| C3, C4 | Up to 100W each | USB PD 3.0 with PPS |
| C5, C6 | Up to 30W each | USB PD 3.0 with PPS |
These are ceilings, not guaranteed charging rates. Your device must support a compatible charging profile, and the cable must also support the intended connection and power. Satechi’s port-support documentation describes the standards and per-port ratings.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
What happens when all six ports are occupied?
Satechi’s published six-port allocation is 70W on C1, 70W on C2, 30W on C3, and 20W each on C4, C5 and C6. Those listed allocations total 230W, below the charger’s stated 240W combined ceiling. This is Satechi’s documented distribution, not an independent measurement or a guarantee that every device will draw exactly those amounts.
| Port | Single-port maximum | Published allocation with six ports in use |
|---|---|---|
| C1 | 140W | 70W |
| C2 | 140W | 70W |
| C3 | 100W | 30W |
| C4 | 100W | 20W |
| C5 | 30W | 20W |
| C6 | 30W | 20W |
Satechi says the charger dynamically distributes power according to the connected devices and their negotiated requests. In practical terms, one laptop plus a phone, tablet or accessories is a more natural load than six laptops all expecting high-power charging. As more devices are attached, an individual device may receive less than its port’s single-device maximum. The official power-distribution table gives the documented allocation.

Is it a good match for a Mac?
C1 and C2 are the ports to consider for a MacBook that can use higher-wattage USB-C charging. Satechi lists AVS support on those ports for compatible devices, including MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models that support charging above 100W. That does not mean every MacBook can accept 140W: the Mac’s supported charging profile, the negotiated connection and the cable determine what it actually receives.
Satechi’s quick-start guide recommends C1 or C2 when charging one device as quickly as its capabilities allow. Use a compatible USB-C cable for each device; the guide does not establish that a cable is included or that one cable specification suits every device and charging goal. See the ChargeView quick-start guide for connection and setup instructions.

Desk design and compatibility trade-offs
The ChargeView combines six USB-C ports with a digital display and stand. Its upright or horizontal placement gives it some flexibility on a desk, while the display provides a visible readout during charging. Macworld’s August 21, 2026 review praised the six USB-C PD ports, intelligent voltage adjustment and compact footprint, and named the absence of USB-A as a drawback. Those are Macworld’s review judgments, not measurements from an independent test here. Macworld’s review also listed an Editors’ Choice designation.
- Good fit: a desk setup centered on USB-C devices, especially a compatible higher-power laptop alongside phones or other lower-demand devices.
- Less suitable: a setup relying on USB-A cables or devices, since the charger has no USB-A ports. You would need a separate adapter or another charging solution.
- Consider carefully: multiple high-draw laptops. Six ports do not mean six simultaneous 140W, 100W or 30W outputs; consult the distribution table against the devices you intend to charge.
Price and availability
Macworld listed the ChargeView at $149.99 in the US and £149.99 in the UK in its August 21, 2026 review. MacRumors reported Amazon availability at launch on August 11, 2026. Separately, the Satechi product page surfaced at $149.99 and marked the product “Sold Out” in the product-page snapshot used for this article; stock and prices can change, so check the seller and your region before buying. How to decide
- List the devices you expect to charge together. Identify the laptop or other device with the greatest power need, then account for phones, tablets and accessories.
- Match the laptop to a high-power port. C1 and C2 offer the highest single-port ratings, up to 140W each, but the laptop and cable must support the relevant charging profile.
- Check the shared-load allocation. If you routinely connect several devices, compare their needs with Satechi’s six-port allocation rather than assuming every port retains its single-device maximum.
- Decide whether USB-C-only works for you. If older USB-A devices or cables are part of the daily setup, factor in the need for adapters or a separate charger.
- Verify current local stock and price. The cited prices and availability reports are dated snapshots, not a guarantee of what is on sale now.
