Yes. A Samsung Galaxy can share its live location with an iPhone through Google Maps. The sender starts the share on the Samsung; the iPhone user views it in Google Maps or opens a link. Samsung Find is not the best-documented cross-platform option, and Samsung says iOS devices are not supported for SmartTag location features.
How to share a Samsung location with an iPhone using Google Maps
Google Maps supports location sharing from Android and lets iPhone users view and manage shared locations. On the Samsung, sign in to Google Maps with a Google Account. To select the recipient from contacts, add their Gmail address to Google Contacts first.

- Open Google Maps on the Samsung phone and tap your profile picture or initial.
- Tap Location sharing, then New share.
- Choose how long to share your location.
- Select the iPhone user’s contact and tap Share.
- On the iPhone, open Google Maps to view the shared location.

Yes. Choose the link-sharing option in Google Maps, copy the link, and send it by text or another messaging app. The recipient does not need a Google Account to open it. Anyone who has the link can see the live location for up to 24 hours, so send it only to someone you trust. Google describes link sharing in its Android help and iPhone and iPad help.

What the iPhone recipient can see
Google says a recipient may see the sharer’s name and photo, the device’s recent location even when Google apps are not in use, and battery level and charging status. Choose the recipient and sharing duration with that information in mind. Google notes that availability can depend on country or region, account eligibility, or whether an account is managed through Google Workspace. See Google’s location-sharing details.
How to stop sharing your Samsung location
- Open Google Maps on the Samsung and tap your profile picture or initial.
- Tap Location sharing.
- Select the person you shared with, then tap Stop.
The share can also be managed in Google Maps on iPhone or iPad, as described in Google’s Android and iPhone and iPad instructions.

Why Samsung Find and SmartTag are different options
Samsung Find’s location-sharing documentation focuses on family, contacts, and other Samsung account users, and says the receiving device needs the app installed. SmartTag and SmartTag+ are for locating tagged objects within Samsung’s ecosystem, not for sharing a Samsung phone’s live location with an iPhone. Samsung explicitly says iOS devices are not supported for SmartTag: Samsung SmartTag support.
