CHOICE’s listing, accessed in 2026, does not state a publication year for these specification figures. Treat them as published product data, not a measurement of a particular used refrigerator. For installation, check the manufacturer’s clearances and the actual space available; also measure doorways, hallways, stairs, and turns along the delivery route.

CHOICE displays a price of $5,149 on the product page accessed in 2026. That figure is not confirmed as a current selling price or offer. Appliances Online also has a historical retailer page, but an online page remaining available does not prove the refrigerator is in stock.
Ice-maker complaints and owner reports
Public ProductReview posts include individual reports of ice-maker freezing or failure and repeat service issues. These are self-selected owner accounts, not controlled diagnoses or a representative sample. Without a denominator, they cannot establish how often the problem occurs or a failure rate for the model.

For a used SRF719DLS, treat these reports as reasons to test the functions and review the unit’s history, not as proof that every refrigerator has the same fault. Test ice production and water dispensing, and ask for service records or documentation of previous repairs.
Discontinued status, manuals, and support
CHOICE labels the SRF719DLS discontinued. Samsung Australia continues to host support information and a user manual; the manual is version 11, with a file modification date of 31 July 2019. The support listing cross-references RF56J9040SL/SA and SRF719DLS, so confirm the exact model shown on your appliance when using the support page. A manual or support listing does not establish that replacement parts are currently available.

What to check before buying a used unit
- Confirm the fit: Compare the listed refrigerator and recommended installation dimensions with your kitchen opening, then measure the full delivery route, including turns and access through doors.
- Test water and ice: If fitted and connected, verify dispensing and ice production during an in-person inspection rather than relying only on the seller’s description.
- Check cooling: Confirm that the refrigerator and freezer reach and maintain appropriate operating temperatures; allow enough time for the unit to run if it has just been switched on.
- Review service history: Ask about ice-maker issues, repeat visits, and repairs, and inspect any available invoices or service records.
- Verify support before committing: Contact Samsung or a qualified service provider to ask whether service and the specific parts the unit may need are available for this model. The online manual alone is not proof of parts supply.
- Assess the full cost: Compare the seller’s actual price and condition with alternatives, taking delivery, installation, and any known repair needs into account. The old CHOICE displayed price is not a current market quote.
How to judge it against another refrigerator
No second current model is established here as a direct comparison, so there is no evidence-based winner to name. If you are comparing options, look for like-for-like evidence on usable capacity and layout, delivery and kitchen fit, annual energy use under comparable conditions, accessible independent temperature and freshness testing, water and ice functionality, current service and parts coverage, and actual price and availability. A large capacity figure alone cannot answer whether an older unit is the better purchase.
