The Samsung SR399WTC is a discontinued top-mount refrigerator with a published 400 L capacity, a 285 L fridge and a 115 L freezer. Samsung support associates it with model code RT35K5035WW/SA. The available specifications make it possible to assess its size and feature set, but public information does not establish how well it performs in measured cooling, noise or reliability tests.
How to identify the SR399WTC
Check the refrigerator’s rating label before ordering parts or looking up documentation. Samsung’s Australian and New Zealand support pages associate the name SR399WTC with customer/model code RT35K5035WW/SA and list an English user manual, version 06, modified 3 August 2022. Samsung Australia support and Samsung New Zealand support are useful starting points.
The brochure says the refrigerator launched in week 9 of 2016. CHOICE lists it as a 2016-tested, discontinued model. That status does not establish whether a particular second-hand unit or remaining-stock listing is available today. CHOICE’s SR399WTC listing
Capacity and dimensions

These are published product dimensions, not a guarantee that the unit will fit a particular cabinet opening. Measure the appliance and available space, then consult the manual for installation clearances and access requirements. Allow for the door to open and for the route through doorways or hallways; the brochure dimensions alone do not account for those constraints.
Features listed for this model
The brochure lists Twin Cooling Plus, Smart Conversion Mode, No Frost, a twist-tray ice maker, LED lighting, a deodorizer/fresh room, a recessed handle, four refrigerator door bins and two freezer door bins. These are feature claims, not independent test results. Consult the manual for the exact operating instructions and limitations of the conversion modes and other controls.

For a used appliance, verify that the ice tray, bins and other removable accessories are present and that the controls and interior lighting work. The published feature list does not establish the condition of an individual refrigerator.

Energy figures and performance evidence
CHOICE lists a 3.5-star energy rating and claimed consumption of 349 kWh per year. The accessible listing does not state the year for those figures, so they should not be treated as a current rating or a measurement of an individual unit’s electricity use. Actual consumption can depend on operating conditions and the appliance’s condition.

CHOICE identifies 2016 as the test year, but its detailed test scores and measurements—including temperature stability, temperature evenness, noise, reliability and owner satisfaction—are members-only on the accessible page. Those results therefore cannot support a claim here that the SR399WTC is especially quiet, reliable, or effective at keeping food at a stable temperature.
What this review can—and cannot—tell you
The documented evidence supports a specification-led assessment: this is a 400 L top-mount model with a 285 L refrigerator and 115 L freezer, a defined exterior size, and the feature set listed above. It does not provide enough publicly accessible test data to rate cooling performance, sound levels, reliability or satisfaction. A brochure feature or energy claim should not be mistaken for a measured outcome.

If comparing it with another refrigerator, match the capacity split and dimensions to your needs, check required installation clearance in each product’s manual, and compare energy figures on an equivalent basis. Look for publicly available independent measurements of temperature stability and noise rather than inferring those qualities from features alone.

Buying or keeping a second-hand unit
CHOICE lists the SR399WTC as discontinued, and current stock and pricing have not been established. The brochure’s $1199 recommended retail price is historical launch-era information, not a current price. For a used unit, judge the specific appliance rather than assuming its age or published specifications tell you its present condition.

- Confirm the rating label says SR399WTC or RT35K5035WW/SA before relying on model-specific documentation or seeking compatible parts.
- Measure the installation space and check the manual’s clearance requirements.
- Inspect the unit’s condition and verify the accessories and features you need are present and operating.
- Do not assume a generic listing for another Samsung refrigerator is compatible; confirm the exact model code with the seller or parts supplier.
