Samsung screen replacement prices vary by Galaxy model, country, damage and repair scope. A quote may cover only the front screen or damaged parts—or a larger module that can include the screen, bezel and battery. The larger repair covers more components, and damage to the frame or another fault can rule out a lower-scope repair. Samsung does not publish a cost breakdown that shows how much of the price comes from the display, labor or other factors, so the most useful first step is to check exactly what the quote includes.
Why can a Samsung screen repair cost so much?
The price is not necessarily for replacing only the visibly cracked surface. Depending on the model and service option, Samsung may repair the front screen or necessary damaged parts, or replace a screen module that includes the screen, bezel and battery. A module replacement covers more components; the repair scope is one reason two quotes—or two prices listed for different models—may not be comparable. Samsung Canada describes its screen-repair option as replacing broken parts rather than a complete screen module.
The phone’s condition can also change the work required. If inspection finds frame damage, a swollen battery or another hardware problem, a screen-only repair may not be available. Samsung’s US support page says repair cost varies with diagnosis, warranty status and repair type. Its eligibility guidance notes that additional damage can affect whether the screen-only option is available.

Samsung’s official repair offers in the cited markets use genuine parts and service routes, but its published pages do not break down the final price into parts, labor or business margin. They also do not quantify how much any particular display technology, adhesive or calibration process contributes. Those explanations should not be treated as established reasons for a specific quote.

What do Samsung screen repairs cost?
Samsung’s US page lists suggested screen-repair prices of $174 for the Galaxy S24 and $259 for the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The same page lists $189 for the Galaxy S25 and $279 for the Galaxy S25 Ultra. These are US suggested prices, not guaranteed quotes: Samsung says prices can vary by region or authorized store, and taxes and fees may be extra. Prices from other countries are separate market examples, not direct comparisons with US dollars. Samsung Canada’s repair-pricing page gives recommended retail prices for specified repairs and notes that authorized service partners may set actual prices. Samsung UK’s screen-repair page, updated August 7, 2026, gives UK-specific recommended out-of-warranty pricing with genuine Samsung parts. Neither page establishes a universal Galaxy repair rate.

How to compare a screen repair with a module replacement

The names and availability of repair options can differ by country and model. Ask the service provider to identify the repair scope in writing rather than comparing prices by the label “screen repair” alone.

- Find the exact Galaxy model and ask Samsung or an authorized service provider for a quote in your country.
- Ask whether the estimate covers a front-screen or damaged-parts repair, or a complete screen module. Confirm whether the bezel and battery are included.
- Ask whether inspection is required and whether frame damage, battery swelling or another fault could change the repair option or price.
- Confirm whether taxes, service fees and any additional required repairs are included in the final amount.
- Compare the final quote with the cost of replacing the phone and with the value you place on keeping your current device.
Does warranty or self-repair change the cost?
Warranty and protection coverage
Coverage depends on the local warranty and any protection plan. Samsung UK’s cited terms say physical damage is chargeable, but that statement should not be read as a complete description of coverage in every country or for every type of screen fault. Self-repair
Self-repair is an option only for some supported models and regions. Samsung’s April 28, 2022 announcement described genuine parts and tools through designated channels for supported Galaxy repairs; it does not establish that a screen kit is currently available for every Galaxy model. Before choosing this route, check current parts availability and factor in tools, shipping and the risk of damaging the phone. Samsung’s self-repair program announcement.
Display-only service availability
Samsung Electronics Service Korea documents a display-only repair option that replaces necessary parts rather than the complete assembly. Can a screen protector prevent another expensive repair?
A model-compatible protector may help protect the screen, but it cannot guarantee that the display will not crack. Samsung Electronics Service Korea documents a protector replacement service for selected Galaxy models; check that your exact model and service location are covered.
