The 32-inch Samsung Odyssey OLED G80SH S32HG802S is a premium 4K, 240Hz QD-OLED monitor best suited to high-end gaming in a room where its matte screen can manage reflections without constant bright ambient light. Its speed, deep dark-room blacks and broad connectivity are compelling; VRR flicker, bright-room black levels, text fringing and OLED burn-in risk are meaningful trade-offs.
What the Samsung Odyssey OLED G80SH S32HG802S offers
This is the 32-inch, 16:9 version of Samsung’s Odyssey OLED G80SH, built around a 3840 × 2160 panel with a refresh rate of up to 240Hz. RTINGS identifies the panel as fourth-generation Tandem QD-OLED and reports VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification. Its tested review covers the 32-inch model, not every monitor carrying the G80SH name. RTINGS’ review and specifications are the basis for the performance details here.

How it performs for gaming
The G80SH’s main appeal is combining 4K detail with a 240Hz refresh rate and OLED’s very fast pixel response. RTINGS reports low input lag and support for common variable refresh rate (VRR) formats. That makes it a strong fit for a powerful gaming PC or other source able to deliver high frame rates, particularly in games where fluid motion matters as much as resolution.
VRR is not flawless: RTINGS notes that changes in frame rate can produce distracting flicker in dark scenes. This is most relevant when a game’s frame rate is unstable or the system struggles to sustain a consistent rate. If that describes your setup, do not assume VRR will make every fluctuation invisible.

Picture quality in bright and dark rooms
Dark-room viewing
In a dim room, the OLED panel can show deep blacks alongside bright highlights, with vivid color and no haloing around bright objects reported by RTINGS. This is where the display’s contrast is most persuasive.
Daylight and room lighting
The matte coating handles reflections well, but it does not remove a known QD-OLED limitation: ambient light can raise the apparent black level, making blacks look purple in a bright room. ComputerBase reported on May 21, 2026, that Samsung confirmed the G80SH uses its Glare-Free technology rather than QuantumBlack film. The coating helps with reflections; it should not be mistaken for a fix for the panel’s bright-room black-level behavior. ComputerBase’s report also places that confirmation in the context of the 27- and 32-inch models.

Is it suitable for work as well as gaming?
The large 4K screen gives room for multiple windows, and RTINGS describes overall text clarity as excellent. However, the QD-OLED subpixel layout can create visible fringing around letters. That may be distracting if you spend long hours reading small text, even though general clarity is strong.

If your work depends on controlled saturation or white balance, calibration may be necessary. For office and editing use, consider the separate risk of burn-in from prolonged static interface elements. RTINGS lists mitigation features including active cooling, a Thermal Modulation System, Logo & Taskbar Detection and a Screen Saver setting; these are protections, not proof that burn-in is impossible.

G80SH versus ASUS PG32UCDM Gen3
The ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM Gen3 is a useful alternative if you are choosing between two 32-inch, 4K, 240Hz QD-OLED monitors. The more practical differences are coating and workflow features, rather than a change in the basic display class.

Check the exact model before buying
Do not confuse the G80SH S32HG802S with the similarly named G80HS S32HG80: RTINGS identifies the G80SH as a 4K QD-OLED and the G80HS as a 6K IPS monitor. A separate 27-inch G80SH also exists, and RTINGS cautions that its 32-inch review findings should not automatically be applied to that size.

In the United States, RTINGS lists LS32HG802SNXZA for the 32-inch G80SH. Suffixes can differ by region or retailer, so check the complete product code on the listing and confirm it matches the size and panel you intend to buy.

ComputerBase reported a German launch price of €1,099 for the 32-inch S32HG802S, with expected delivery from June 5, 2026. That is historical launch information, not a current price or availability quote.
