Samsung is a confirmed manufacturing partner for chips used in Apple products, including iPhones—but Apple has not named the specific iPhone chip or published a model-by-model list of Samsung-made parts. Claims about Samsung-made screens or memory therefore need to be tied to a particular iPhone generation and reliable evidence, not treated as universal facts.
What Apple confirms Samsung makes for iPhone
Apple’s August 6, 2025 announcement says it is working with Samsung at Samsung’s fab in Austin, Texas, on a new technology for making chips. Apple says the facility will supply chips for Apple products, including iPhones distributed around the world. Apple’s announcement does not identify the chip type or name a particular iPhone model.
That supports a clear but limited conclusion: Samsung is involved in making some chips for Apple products, including iPhone. It does not establish that Samsung makes the iPhone’s main processor, modem, memory, or any other specific chip. Apple’s 2026 announcement naming Samsung as an American Manufacturing Program partner adds no further detail about iPhone components.

Apple’s public information cited here does not confirm Samsung as the display-panel or memory supplier for any specific iPhone model. Some reporting and online component summaries attribute OLED displays or memory in certain generations to Samsung, but those claims should be checked against model-specific evidence. They are not grounds for saying that every iPhone—or every current iPhone—uses Samsung-made screens or memory.

Supplier assignments can vary by model, generation, and production batch. Apple’s Austin-fab announcement identifies a chip-making collaboration, not a complete component roster; Apple’s public supply-chain overview likewise describes its supplier network without mapping every iPhone part to a supplier by model or batch. A supplier claim is strongest when it specifies the iPhone model and is supported by a dependable, model-specific source.
Why the answer is not a complete parts list
Apple describes a supply chain in which suppliers support different stages of production and provide parts that are combined into components such as displays, batteries, and chips. That high-level description explains how many suppliers can contribute to a product; it does not disclose which company supplied every part in every iPhone configuration. The confirmed Samsung chip work should therefore be kept separate from reported or unverified allocations for other components.

If you’re asking because your iPhone needs a screen repair
A claim that Samsung supplies some display panels is not a recommendation to buy a generic “Samsung iPhone screen.” For a replacement, Apple advises using a trained technician and genuine Apple display parts. Apple warns that nongenuine displays can affect touch response, brightness, color, and compatibility.
