To select more than one photo or video in Samsung Gallery, open Pictures and touch and hold a thumbnail. Then use the controls that appear for the action you want, such as moving, copying, deleting, or sharing.
Select multiple photos or videos

Open the Gallery app and go to Pictures.

Touch and hold the thumbnail of the first photo or video. The item becomes selected.

Use the selection controls displayed on your screen to choose additional items and perform your task. Samsung’s instructions do not establish one universal gesture for adding items or a Select all button across Galaxy devices, so follow the controls shown on your phone or tablet.

Move or copy selected items to an album

Select the photos or videos you want to organize.

Tap More at the bottom of the screen.

Choose Move to album or Copy to album, then select the destination album.
Moving places the selected items in the destination album; copying creates additional copies there. The labels and their locations may differ on your device.

Delete selected photos from an album

In Gallery, open Albums and choose the album containing the items.

Touch and hold a thumbnail, then select the other items using the controls shown.

Tap Delete and confirm Move to Trash.
In Samsung’s documented workflow, deleting moves items to Trash rather than immediately removing them permanently. Permanent deletion is a separate action in Trash.
When photos appear grouped together
On some newer Galaxy devices, Gallery groups similar-looking photos. A thumbnail may represent several images rather than one, so a photo you want might not appear as its own tile in Pictures.

To display images individually, tap More options and choose Ungroup similar images.

After selecting items, use Gallery’s available sharing controls. Samsung supports sharing through Quick Share and other compatible options; what appears depends on the device and software.
If you want to remove embedded location information from an image before sharing it, open the individual item and choose More options → Details → Edit. Tap the red minus sign beside the location information, then save. Check each image you plan to share if location privacy matters.
