Yes—reported January 2026 promotions cut the 2025 Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra by more than $175, but the discount was not universal or permanent. The 47 mm LTE model was listed at $374.99 for Titanium Blue on Amazon in a later report, while other snapshots showed $499.99 at Amazon, savings of up to $175 at Best Buy, and up to $220 for eligible Samsung customers. Prices, colors, stock and trade-in terms can change at checkout.
Which watch the headline means
The deal concerns Samsung’s 2025 Galaxy Watch Ultra, a 47 mm LTE smartwatch. Samsung’s listed starting price is $649.99 before trade-in. That price is the reference point for the reported discounts; it is not a guarantee that every retailer or color will use the same price.
The deepest reported figure came from Android Authority, which recorded the Titanium Blue 2025 model at $374.99 on Amazon versus a regular $649.99 price. A January 6, 2026 9to5Google deal report separately recorded up to $175 off at Best Buy, up to $220 off for select Samsung users, and a $150 reduction on selected Amazon colorways to $499.99. Those are dated retailer snapshots, so check the live listing before treating the offer as active.
How much can you actually save?
| Seller or eligibility | Reported price or discount | What controls the final amount |
|---|---|---|
| Samsung list price | $649.99 starting price | Before trade-in; Samsung’s current offer and region apply |
| Best Buy | Up to $175 off | Promotion dates, selected configurations and inventory |
| Samsung eligible customers | Up to $220 off | Eligibility and any required Samsung account or promotion |
| Amazon selected colorways | $499.99, reported as $150 off | Color, seller, stock and the live checkout price |
| Amazon Titanium Blue | $374.99 in a later report | Availability and price can end without notice |
“Up to” applies to the maximum advertised reduction, not necessarily the configuration in your cart. A trade-in can change the effective price further, but no single trade-in value for a particular old watch was published. Get the quote for your exact model, condition and market rather than assuming the headline discount and trade-in credit stack in the same way.

Why it is built for hiking and other adventures
Rugged construction
The Ultra uses a titanium cushion design and sapphire crystal glass. Samsung rates it for 10 ATM water resistance and IP68 ingress protection, and lists MIL-STD-810H testing. The stated operating range is -4°F to 131°F, with altitude resistance to 29,527 feet. These ratings describe specified test conditions; they do not make the watch immune to impact, chemicals, pressure changes or damage from wear.
Navigation and training tools
Dual-frequency GPS is designed to improve positioning in difficult environments compared with a single-frequency receiver. Track Back can help retrace a route, while multisport and triathlon tracking cover sessions that move between disciplines. Heart-rate zones support intensity guidance, and Night mode is intended for darker conditions. Samsung also offers Marine, Trail and PeakForm band families; verify 47 mm compatibility and the fit you want before adding a replacement band.
Battery modes
Samsung claims up to 100 hours in Power Saving Mode and up to 48 hours in Exercise Power Saving Mode. Those figures are maximum claims under Samsung’s conditions, not a universal runtime with LTE, continuous GPS, bright display settings and sensors all active. Adventure planning should include a charging opportunity or a backup navigation method.

LTE, phone-free use and storage
The model covered by the deal reports is LTE, so it can connect to a compatible cellular plan for selected calls, messages and data when your phone is not nearby. LTE service requires carrier support and activation; buying an LTE watch does not automatically provide cellular service. Bluetooth remains useful when the phone is close and avoids cellular charges.
Android Authority lists 64 GB of storage and a 590 mAh battery for the 2025 47 mm LTE model. Storage capacity can accommodate apps and offline content, but the amount available to you will be lower after system software.
How to check whether the discount is real
- Identify the exact listing as the 2025 Galaxy Watch Ultra, 47 mm LTE model, and confirm the color.
- Compare the displayed price with Samsung’s $649.99 starting reference, noting whether the seller labels the reduction as a promotion or trade-in credit.
- At checkout, verify seller identity, shipping date, taxes, return window and warranty coverage for your country.
- If trading in a watch, enter its precise model and condition and record the quoted credit before completing payment.
- For LTE, confirm that your carrier supports smartwatch activation and check the recurring service fee.
If a page shows a discount but the cart returns to the regular price, the promotion may have expired, be limited to another color or require an account, coupon or trade-in. Do not rely on a search-result price alone.

Which Galaxy Watch is best for outdoor adventures?
For this deal, the Galaxy Watch Ultra is Samsung’s adventure-focused option: it combines the largest stated battery, titanium and sapphire materials, dual-frequency GPS, 10 ATM/IP68 protection, MIL-STD-810H qualification and dedicated route and multisport features. A less-expensive Galaxy Watch may suit casual walking or everyday notifications, but no comparable specifications or current prices for another model are provided, so a definitive model-to-model ranking would be unsupported.

How much will Samsung give me for an old smartwatch?
There is no single amount established here. The credit depends on the old watch’s model, condition, market and the live trade-in program; obtain the quote for that specific device.
Are the 100-hour and 48-hour battery figures typical?
They are Samsung’s maximum claims for Power Saving Mode and Exercise Power Saving Mode. Actual endurance varies with LTE, GPS, display, sensors and other settings.
