On the phone paired with your watch, open Galaxy Wearable → Find my watch. Samsung may open Samsung Find or SmartThings Find; select your Galaxy Watch to view the location information available, or tap Ring if the watch can connect. Finding must have been enabled before the watch went missing, and ringing is not guaranteed when it is offline.
Find your Galaxy Watch from the paired phone

Open Galaxy Wearable on the phone paired with the watch and tap Find my watch. The app may hand off to Samsung Find or SmartThings Find.

In Samsung Find, select the Galaxy Watch from the device list to open its location view. Tap Ring to make it sound or vibrate if the watch can receive the command.

In SmartThings, Samsung UK’s guide gives the route Life → Find. Select the watch and tap Ring. Menu paths can differ by region and software version.

Use Samsung Find or SmartThings Find on the web
For Galaxy Watch8, Watch8 Classic, and Watch Ultra (2025), Samsung’s US guidance also describes using the web versions of Samsung Find or SmartThings Find. Sign in to the Samsung account associated with the watch, choose it from the device list, then use the available map and actions. Depending on the supported device and service, the options may include Ring, Lost mode, and Erase data. See Samsung’s Watch8 and Watch Ultra connection and finding guidance.

What the location and Ring options can—and cannot—do
Location depends on information the service can access
A map shows location information made available by the finding service; Samsung’s cited instructions do not promise uninterrupted, real-time tracking for every watch or connection state. If the displayed location is not current, the watch may not be able to report a newer one.
Ring requires a connection
Samsung says Ring requires the phone and watch to be connected over Bluetooth or a network such as Wi-Fi. Samsung Australia also describes an internet connection through active LTE or Wi-Fi as an option. If remote controls are unavailable but the watch is powered and disconnected, its Australian guidance suggests trying Searching Nearby; success is not guaranteed. Check whether finding was set up before the watch went missing
Samsung says Find my Watch works only if device finding had already been enabled in SmartThings Find or Samsung Find. If the watch does not appear in the service, or remote controls are unavailable, this prior setup may be missing. You can also check Samsung’s local support page if your menus differ: supported models and labels vary by region, phone software, watch model, and app version.
Samsung UK’s listed compatibility includes Watch8 series, Watch Ultra, Watch7, Watch6 series, Watch5 series, Watch4 series, Watch3, Watch Active2, Galaxy Watch, and Galaxy Watch Active. Availability can vary, so the list should not be treated as a guarantee that every feature or menu is available on every device.

If you think the watch was stolen, prioritize security
Samsung says Galaxy Wearable can remotely lock or reset a watch when remote connection is enabled. For Watch8-family devices, Samsung also documents Lost mode and data erasure through its finding services. Use the available security controls to protect the device and its data. Erasing or resetting is a security measure, not a way to keep locating the watch; Samsung’s cited instructions do not establish one recovery outcome for every model.
