Samsung’s cited US comparison pairs the Galaxy Tab S11 with the Galaxy Tab S10+, not a base Galaxy Tab S10. The S11 is the more portable 11-inch tablet; the S10+ is larger at 12.4 inches. In Samsung’s May 2026 list, matching 256 GB Wi-Fi configurations put the S11 $100 lower, but those are changeable MSRP figures—not live prices. Check the exact model and current offers before deciding.
First, which Galaxy Tab S10 are you comparing?
Samsung’s US comparison page lists the Galaxy Tab S11 and Galaxy Tab S10+, but not a base Galaxy Tab S10. This article therefore compares the S11 with the larger S10+. If you mean an S10 FE model or a regional model with a different name or specification, confirm its exact SKU before using these comparisons. Samsung’s tablet comparison page shows the models in its cited US lineup.
What changed between the S11 and S10+?
Screen size and weight
The biggest practical difference is size. Samsung lists the S11 with an 11-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display and a weight of 1.03 lb; the S10+ has a 12.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display and weighs 1.25 lb. The S11 is easier to carry, while the S10+ gives you more screen area for video, reading, and working with two apps side by side. These are Samsung-published specifications, not independent measurements. Samsung’s comparison lists both models’ display sizes and weights.
Memory and storage choices
Both models have 12 GB of RAM in the compared configurations. Samsung lists the S11 with 128 GB, 256 GB, or 512 GB of storage, while the S10+ options shown are 256 GB and 512 GB. Compare the same storage capacity when evaluating price: an entry-level 128 GB S11 is not a like-for-like comparison with a 256 GB S10+. Check microSD support for the exact model and region before relying on expandable storage. Samsung’s S10-series page and S11-series page provide the cited specifications.

Battery claims
Samsung advertises up to 18 hours of video playback for the S11 and up to 16 hours for the S10+. These are manufacturer claims, not results from an independent or directly comparable real-world test. Actual runtime varies with settings, content, connectivity, and use. Treat the figures as advertised maximums rather than a guarantee of how long either tablet will last in your routine. Samsung’s S10-series page and S11-series page list the playback claims.
Water and dust resistance
Samsung lists IP68 for both models. That rating does not mean either tablet is waterproof or immune to damage in every situation. Samsung’s S10 material describes water resistance up to 5 feet for up to 30 minutes and advises rinsing residue and drying the device. Follow the guidance for your specific model and avoid treating water exposure as risk-free. Samsung’s S10-series page includes the S10 water-resistance caveat.
Cameras
Samsung lists a 13 MP rear camera on the S11, compared with a 13 MP main camera plus an 8 MP ultra-wide rear camera on the S10+. Both have a 12 MP ultra-wide front camera in the comparison. The S10+ offers a rear ultra-wide option, but megapixel counts alone do not establish which tablet takes better photos.

S Pen, keyboard, and software support
The S11 includes an S Pen, and Samsung says its redesigned pen is exclusive to the S11 series. The S11 supports the Book Cover Keyboard Slim and Book Cover, but these accessories are optional. Samsung’s price list effective May 1, 2026 puts the Book Cover Keyboard Slim at $144.99 MSRP; account for that added cost if you want a laptop-like setup. Samsung’s S11 product page covers the pen and compatible accessories, while its Galaxy Tablet MSRP price list gives the keyboard’s list price.
Samsung says the S11 is eligible for up to seven generations of Android OS upgrades and seven years of security updates from global launch. That is Samsung’s stated eligibility, not a promise that all features or updates arrive at the same time in every region. The cited official material does not establish an equivalent support-duration comparison for the S10+, so a direct support-years verdict is not supported here. Samsung’s S11 product FAQ states its support policy.
How do the listed prices compare?

| Configuration | Samsung US listed MSRP |
|---|---|
| Galaxy Tab S11, 12 GB RAM, 256 GB, Wi-Fi | $899.99 |
| Galaxy Tab S10+, 12 GB RAM, 256 GB, Wi-Fi | $999.99 |
The price list says prices are subject to change without notice. These figures are dated MSRPs, not confirmed current retailer prices or offers; discounts, trade-ins, and availability can alter the amount you pay. Check the live price for the same storage and connectivity configuration before making a value judgment. Samsung’s April 2026 MSRP price list supplies these figures.
Which tablet is the better value for you?
Choose the Galaxy Tab S11 if portability matters most
- You want the smaller, lighter tablet for carrying around.
- You can use the 11-inch display and do not need the S10+’s larger workspace.
- You are comparing 256 GB Wi-Fi models and find the S11 at a lower current price.
- You value Samsung’s stated S11 software-support eligibility.
Choose the Galaxy Tab S10+ if screen area comes first
- You prefer a 12.4-inch display for media, reading, or split-screen work.
- You will make meaningful use of its rear ultra-wide camera.
- The S10+ is competitively priced where you shop, making its larger screen worth the difference to you.
At Samsung’s cited May 2026 list prices, the S11 costs less for the same listed RAM, storage, and Wi-Fi configuration, while the S10+ offers the larger display. That alone does not settle value: compare current transaction prices, your preferred screen size, and any optional keyboard cost. The evidence supports a conditional choice, not a blanket claim that one tablet is always the better buy.
