Choose the Lenovo Idea Tab Pro if you want the largest writing canvas and your exact retailer SKU includes its stylus. Display, configurations and expansion
Samsung lists a 10.9-inch display. Samsung Mobile Press specifies a 2112 × 1320 WUXGA+ TFT panel. The size is large enough for a notebook page, lecture slides or a video beside a notes app, while remaining easier to carry than a 12-inch-plus tablet.
The US specification lists two documented configurations: 6 GB of RAM with 128 GB of storage, and 8 GB of RAM with 256 GB. A microSD card can expand storage by up to 2 TB according to Samsung’s page. Treat those capacities as market-specific: Samsung notes that configurations and availability can differ by country, so check the exact local model number before ordering.
Processor, battery and software commitment
Samsung Mobile Press identifies Android 15, an Exynos 1380 processor and an 8,000 mAh battery. The announcement was dated August 25, 2025, and Samsung said initial availability began September 5, 2025. Those dates establish the product’s launch timeline, not current stock in every region.

Samsung also states eligibility for up to seven generations of Android operating-system upgrades and seven years of security updates from global launch. That is a particularly relevant advantage for a student or family tablet expected to last several academic years. “Up to” matters: update timing, exact eligibility and regional availability can vary, so retain the model and market details from your purchase record.
What Samsung’s bundle does—and does not—guarantee
An S Pen in the US box makes the S10 Lite’s usable stylus setup straightforward. It does not automatically include a keyboard, protective case or other accessories. Samsung says compatible Book Cover Keyboard products are supported, but the accessory is an additional purchase unless a retailer’s package explicitly says otherwise.
Samsung executive Changtae Kim described the tablet as designed to bring “practical, everyday functionality to more people around the world.” That is Samsung’s positioning, not an independent test result. For your decision, the practical question is whether the included pen, 10.9-inch screen and expandable storage meet your workload without buying a larger alternative.
Lenovo Idea Tab Pro: the large-screen stylus alternative
The Lenovo Idea Tab Pro is the most compelling option when writing area matters more than compactness. Creative Bloq’s guide, dated October 5, 2026, names it the “best budget tablet with a stylus included” and lists a 12.7-inch display at 2944 × 1840 resolution. That is a substantially larger canvas than the S10 Lite’s 10.9 inches, useful for full-size PDFs, diagrams and two apps side by side.

Pen capability listed by the guide
Creative Bloq lists 4,096 levels of pen pressure. Pressure-level counts indicate how finely the pen can report force; they do not, by themselves, establish drawing latency, palm rejection quality, tilt support or compatibility with every art application. If drawing is your priority, confirm the exact Lenovo pen model and its supported features in the retailer’s specification sheet.
Verify the generation and SKU before paying
“Idea Tab Pro” can refer to different regional listings or generations. The Creative Bloq article describes an included stylus, but that description should not be treated as proof that every retailer’s box contains one. Before checkout, verify all of the following on the product page or by asking the seller:
- The full model name, generation and model number.
- Whether the stylus is physically included, rather than merely compatible.
- The exact pen model and replacement-pen availability.
- RAM and internal-storage capacity.
- Warranty region, keyboard support and return terms.
Creative Bloq’s approximate price is not a guaranteed current offer. Exchange rates, promotions and regional bundles can change quickly. Record the tablet price and the pen price separately if the listing is ambiguous, then compare that total with the S10 Lite package and the REDMI setup.
Who should choose it?
Choose the Idea Tab Pro when a 12.7-inch workspace will reduce scrolling or make handwriting more comfortable, and when the confirmed bundle price remains competitive after the pen is included. It is less attractive if you travel daily, use a small bag or discover that the local SKU omits the stylus. REDMI Pad 2 Pro: large, smooth display with a separate-pen decision
Xiaomi’s global specifications list the REDMI Pad 2 Pro with a 12.1-inch, 2560 × 1600 display and refresh rates of up to 120 Hz. Xiaomi also lists a 12,000 mAh typical battery capacity and 33 W charging. These are manufacturer specifications accessed October 13, 2026, not independent battery or charging tests.
What the 120 Hz specification means
“Up to 120 Hz” describes the panel’s maximum refresh capability. The tablet may use a lower rate in some apps or power modes, and refresh rate is separate from pen sampling rate and end-to-end writing latency. A high-refresh screen can make scrolling and animation look smoother, which is useful for reading long documents and media, but it is not proof of superior handwriting response.
The pen is normally an extra line item
Xiaomi has a separate official specifications page for the Redmi Smart Pen. The REDMI Pad 2 Pro page also warns that package contents may differ by region. Unless your exact local listing names the Redmi Smart Pen in the box, calculate the usable setup as tablet price + compatible pen price. A low tablet-only price is not a low stylus setup if the pen adds a substantial amount.

Compare the total stylus setup price correctly
Prices and bundles were not established for a specific country in the available product information, so a universal ranking by cost would be misleading. Use this method with current local listings:
- Write down the exact tablet SKU. Record storage, RAM, connectivity and region. A name-only listing can hide a different generation or memory configuration.
- Identify the pen in the box. Samsung’s US page says the S Pen is included with the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite. Lenovo’s inclusion is described by Creative Bloq but should be confirmed for the exact SKU. Xiaomi’s Smart Pen is a separate product unless the regional package explicitly says otherwise.

When expandable storage changes the value equation
Samsung’s documented microSD support up to 2 TB can reduce the need to pay for a higher internal-storage tier if your files are mainly PDFs, downloaded media or photos that can live on removable storage. Confirm the card’s supported format and whether your preferred apps allow their data to move; removable storage is not identical to faster internal storage.

App availability and accessories
For handwritten notes, class PDFs and media, verify that your preferred note-taking, cloud-storage and streaming apps are available in the tablet’s app store and support pen input. Equating pressure levels or refresh rate with drawing quality
