The Galaxy S26 is the smaller phone, while the OnePlus 15R pairs a much larger, higher-resolution display with a larger listed battery capacity. In the US price figures available here, the S26 costs $200 more at 256GB and $300 more at 512GB—but those figures mix Samsung store promotions with OnePlus launch prices, not same-day quotes.
How the displays and size compare
| Specification | Samsung Galaxy S26 | OnePlus 15R |
|---|---|---|
| Display | 6.3-inch FHD+, 2340 × 1080 pixels | 6.83-inch, 2800 × 1272 pixels |
| Refresh rate | Not stated in Samsung’s cited report | Adaptive 60, 90, 120, 144, or 165Hz; 144Hz and 165Hz are limited to listed supported apps |
| Weight | 167g | 214–215g |
Samsung’s 2026 first-quarter interim report gives the Galaxy S26’s display resolution and weight. OnePlus lists the 15R’s display specifications and supported refresh rates on its official specifications page. The S26 is the more compact option; the 15R offers a larger panel and higher maximum refresh rate in supported apps. These are manufacturer-published specifications, not independent measurements.
Chipset: the S26 varies by region
Samsung’s 2026 first-quarter interim report identifies the Galaxy S26 platform as Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 or Exynos 2600. Which one applies depends on market, so check the model sold in your region rather than assuming every S26 has the same chipset. OnePlus lists the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 for the 15R.

Memory, storage, and battery capacity
| Specification | Samsung Galaxy S26 | OnePlus 15R |
|---|---|---|
| Memory | Not established by the cited Samsung report or purchase page | 12GB RAM |
| Storage options | 256GB or 512GB purchase options | 256GB or 512GB |
| Battery capacity | Not established by the cited Samsung report | 7,400mAh typical; 7,250mAh rated |
OnePlus publishes the 15R memory, storage, and battery figures on its specifications page. Battery capacity is not a runtime result: these figures do not tell you how long either phone lasts under a particular workload. The available material also does not establish a matched battery-runtime test or a charging comparison.
Camera specifications do not establish a winner
OnePlus lists a stabilized 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide camera for the 15R. The available Samsung source does not provide a complete, comparable Galaxy S26 camera specification, and there are no controlled side-by-side photo results here. That is not enough evidence to declare either phone’s camera better.

Samsung’s US unlocked purchase page displayed the S26 prices above when accessed in 2026. TechRadar reported the OnePlus 15R’s US launch prices in its 2026 review. The differences are arithmetic comparisons of those figures, not a guaranteed same-day, same-retailer quote: one side is a captured Samsung store promotion and the other a reported launch price. Prices, offers, availability, and configurations can change, and regional prices differ.

Which phone fits your priorities?
- Choose by size: The 6.3-inch, 167g Galaxy S26 is the more compact choice. The 6.83-inch, 214–215g OnePlus 15R is substantially larger and heavier.
- Choose by display: The 15R has the larger, higher-resolution screen and lists refresh rates up to 165Hz in supported apps. The cited Samsung report specifies the S26’s FHD+ resolution but does not establish its refresh rate.
- Choose by price: On the US figures compared above, the reported OnePlus launch prices are lower at both matched storage sizes. Check current local pricing before buying.
- Choose by platform carefully: Confirm whether the S26 in your market uses Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 or Exynos 2600 before comparing it with the 15R’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5.
