The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE and vivo S2 5G target different priorities in India: Samsung lists a more versatile rear camera system, while vivo lists a larger, sharper display and a higher-capacity battery. Samsung announced its 8GB/256GB model at ₹79,999; the ₹39,490 vivo figure is a third-party listing, not an official price, so it does not establish a current like-for-like gap.

How much more does the Galaxy S26 FE cost?
Samsung’s announced India price is ₹79,999 for the Galaxy S26 FE with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. MySmartPrice reported ₹39,490 for the vivo S2 5G, which produces a simple arithmetic difference of ₹40,509. That is only an indicative comparison: the Samsung figure is an announced launch price for a stated configuration, while the vivo figure is a volatile third-party listing and does not establish a matched storage variant, seller offer, or current market price. Check the live listing, seller, RAM and storage before treating any difference as a buying decision.

Which phone has the better display?
On the published specifications, vivo offers the larger, higher-resolution panel: 6.83 inches at 2800 × 1260, compared with Samsung’s 6.7-inch FHD+ screen. Both are listed for refresh rates up to 120Hz. vivo specifies 3,000-nit local peak brightness, while Samsung lists 1,900 nits. Because the brightness descriptions may use different measurement definitions, those numbers should not be read as a direct laboratory comparison.

How do their cameras differ?
The Galaxy S26 FE has three rear cameras with distinct roles: a 50MP wide camera with optical image stabilisation, a 12MP ultra-wide, and an 8MP telephoto offering 3× optical zoom. vivo lists a 50MP main camera and a 2MP secondary camera. Samsung’s stated camera configuration therefore provides dedicated ultra-wide and optical-zoom options; megapixel counts alone do not establish which phone takes better photos.
For selfies, Samsung lists a 12MP front camera and vivo lists a 32MP front camera. Resolution by itself does not determine image quality, and the available specifications do not establish a tested camera winner.

Battery capacity and charging
vivo lists a 7,050mAh typical-capacity battery and 44W charging. Samsung lists a 4,900mAh battery, but its cited launch announcement does not state charging wattage. The larger stated capacity gives vivo the paper advantage on battery size, but capacity alone cannot predict real-world endurance; usage, display settings and software also affect battery life.

Performance and software support
Samsung names the Exynos 2500, while vivo specifies the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo. No independent benchmark or hands-on performance results are established here, so the chip names should not be converted into claims about which phone is faster in everyday use or gaming.

Samsung’s launch announcement says the S26 FE is the first Galaxy S26-series device with One UI 9, but the cited material does not state a precise update promise. vivo’s S2 overview states three generations of OS updates and five years of security updates. Confirm the current regional support terms if update longevity is a deciding factor.
Size, weight and model-name check
Samsung lists the S26 FE at 193g and 161.6mm tall. vivo lists the S2 at roughly 164.42mm tall and 197g or 199g depending on colour, so the Samsung is listed as shorter and lighter; vivo is narrower. The vivo dimensions also vary slightly by colour.

- Choose the Galaxy S26 FE on specifications if a dedicated ultra-wide camera and 3× optical telephoto are more important to you, or if the listed shorter, lighter body is preferable.
- Consider the vivo S2 on specifications if you prioritise a larger, sharper display, a higher listed typical battery capacity, or the stated 44W charging and software-update terms.
- Compare the actual checkout prices only after matching storage, seller, warranty and availability. The surfaced prices do not prove a current equivalent-configuration discount.
These are specification-based distinctions, not a universal performance or camera verdict: no independent hands-on tests or benchmark results are established for this comparison.
