The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE is the better spec-sheet fit if you want a larger screen and a dedicated 3x optical telephoto camera. The Google Pixel 10a is the smaller option and has Google’s stated seven-year program for OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates. Neither set of manufacturer specifications establishes which phone takes better photos, lasts longer, or runs faster in everyday use.
This comparison uses manufacturer information available on October 7, 2026. Samsung’s prices and availability below are US-specific; prices and configurations can differ by country and carrier.
How the key specifications compare
| Specification | Samsung Galaxy S26 FE | Google Pixel 10a |
|---|---|---|
| Display | 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X; 60/120Hz refresh (Samsung, 2026) | 6.3-inch 1080 × 2424 pOLED; 60–120Hz refresh; Gorilla Glass 7i (Google, 2026) |
| Processor | Exynos 2500 (Samsung, 2026) | Tensor G4 (Google, 2026) |
| Rear cameras | 50MP main with OIS, 12MP ultrawide, and 8MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom (Samsung, 2026) | 48MP wide and 13MP ultrawide; Google lists up to 8x Super Zoom (Google, 2026) |
| Front camera | 12MP (Samsung, 2026) | 13MP (Google, 2026) |
| Typical battery capacity | 4,900mAh (Samsung, 2026) | 5,100mAh (Google, 2026) |
| Storage options | 128GB and 256GB (Samsung, 2026) | 128GB and 256GB (Google, 2026) |
| Wireless charging | 15W fast wireless charging (Samsung, 2026) | Qi-certified wireless charging (Google, 2026) |
| Software support | Up to seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates (Samsung, 2026) | Seven years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates (Google, 2026) |
These are published specifications and support statements, not independent measurements. A higher camera megapixel count or battery capacity does not by itself establish better photos or longer runtime.

Which phone should you choose?
Choose the Galaxy S26 FE for a larger display and optical telephoto
Samsung lists a 6.7-inch display, compared with 6.3 inches on the Pixel 10a, and includes a dedicated 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. That makes the S26 FE the more direct spec-based choice if screen size or an optical zoom lens is high on your list. Display size alone does not establish readability or outdoor visibility, and the camera specifications do not prove which phone produces better images.

Choose the Pixel 10a for a smaller form factor and Google’s update scope
The Pixel 10a has the smaller listed display and Google’s stated seven years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates. Samsung’s promise is phrased differently: up to seven generations of OS upgrades plus seven years of security updates. Consider the distinction rather than treating the promises as identical.
Compare prices in your market before deciding
Samsung’s US announcement listed a $699.99 starting price in 2026, and Samsung’s US retail page showed the 128GB unlocked model at that price when checked. Samsung said select US carriers began availability on September 3, 2026, followed by nationwide availability through Samsung.com, carriers, and retailers on September 4. Price and stock can change.

Google introduced the Pixel 10a at a US launch price of $499 in 2026. That is historical launch-price context, not a current offer. The two figures are not date-matched current prices, so check both phones’ current prices and availability for your country, carrier, and preferred storage size.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesBattery life and charging: what the specifications do—and do not—tell you
The Pixel 10a has the larger stated typical battery capacity: 5,100mAh versus 4,900mAh for the S26 FE. Capacity alone cannot determine how long either phone lasts, because real-world endurance depends on usage and other factors. The available manufacturer specifications do not provide a controlled head-to-head battery test, so they do not establish a runtime winner.

Samsung lists 45W wired charging and says the S26 FE can reach up to 65% in around 30 minutes with a 45W adapter. Google says the Pixel 10a can reach 50% in about 30 minutes with a 45W USB-C PPS charger or higher, sold separately. These are different manufacturer claims, not results from a matched charging test, and the stated percentages should not be treated as directly comparable.
Samsung also lists 15W fast wireless charging. Google specifies Qi-certified wireless charging without a wattage in the cited specifications. Samsung’s US retail page says the charger is not included; the box contents can vary by region. Google says the charger needed for its stated wired charging claim is sold separately.

- The Galaxy S25 FE features a large, immersive Dynamic AMOLED display with smooth refresh rate and enhanced brightness, delivering vivid colors and sharp clarity whether you're streaming, browsing, or using it outdoors.
Camera systems: optical zoom versus a dual-camera setup
The S26 FE’s rear system includes a main camera with optical image stabilization, an ultrawide camera, and a dedicated telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The Pixel 10a has wide and ultrawide rear cameras and lists up to 8x Super Zoom. Optical zoom and Google’s Super Zoom are different descriptions of camera capability; their numbers alone do not show which phone captures better images at a given distance or in a particular lighting condition.

Software and storage details
Google lists Android 16 as the Pixel 10a’s launch operating system. Both phones are offered in 128GB and 256GB configurations according to their respective manufacturer materials. Samsung’s support statement covers up to seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates, while Google’s covers seven years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates. Those formulations describe each manufacturer’s stated commitment; they should not be collapsed into a claim that the programs are precisely equivalent.
What remains unknown from the published specifications
The manufacturer materials cited here do not establish which phone has better real-world battery life, camera performance, sustained speed, or display quality. A reliable conclusion on those points needs a controlled, matched test or comparable independent reviews. The published information supports a choice based on size, camera hardware, charging specifications, price context, and the exact scope of each support promise—not a tested overall winner.
