The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE and TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G make different spec-sheet trade-offs: Samsung lists a 3x optical-zoom telephoto camera and wireless charging, while TECNO lists a 144Hz display and a larger 6,500mAh battery. Those figures do not establish which phone takes better photos or lasts longer in real use. The right choice depends on which features matter to you—and on local prices, which cannot be compared fairly without current listings for your country.
Samsung Galaxy S25 FE vs TECNO POVA 8 Pro: specifications

Which phone has the better display?
TECNO lists the larger screen—6.78 inches versus 6.7 inches—and the higher maximum refresh rate: 144Hz versus Samsung’s up to 120Hz. Those are specification advantages for screen size and refresh-rate ceiling, not proof of better image quality. Brightness, color, viewing conditions, and how apps use the refresh rate also matter; the listed figures alone do not settle which display looks better.

Samsung lists three rear cameras, including an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. TECNO lists a 50MP OIS main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide, with no telephoto camera in the cited configuration. If you want a dedicated listed optical-zoom camera, Samsung has the clearer spec-sheet fit. TECNO’s listed main-camera resolution does not by itself show that its photos are better or worse: megapixels are not a substitute for image-quality testing.

For front cameras, Samsung lists 12MP and TECNO 13MP. The one-megapixel difference does not establish which takes better selfies.
Battery capacity and charging: what the numbers tell you
TECNO lists a 6,500mAh battery, compared with Samsung’s 4,900mAh typical capacity. That gives TECNO the higher stated capacity, but it is not a measured runtime comparison; screen settings, signal conditions, software, and usage affect battery life.
Rank #2
- The Galaxy S25 FE features a large, immersive Dynamic AMOLED display with smooth refresh rate and enhanced brightness, delivering vivid colors and sharp clarity whether you're streaming, browsing, or using it outdoors.
Both manufacturers list charging up to 45W by cable. Samsung also lists fast wireless charging, and says its 45W power adapter and 5A cable are sold separately. Check what is included with the specific phone and seller before buying.
Water and dust resistance ratings
Samsung specifies IP68 and describes lab testing in fresh water up to 1.5m deep for up to 30 minutes. Samsung also cautions that resistance may diminish over time. TECNO’s product overview advertises IP69K/69/68/66 ratings. These are manufacturer claims, and the published ratings should not be treated as proof that the phones were tested under identical conditions. Neither rating makes a phone immune to all liquid or dust damage.
What is the price difference?
Samsung announced a US starting price of $649.99 when the Galaxy S25 FE became available on September 4, 2025. That is a historical US launch price, not a current quote. The TECNO Saudi Arabia specification page reviewed for this comparison does not state a price, so it does not provide a like-for-like figure.
To determine today’s difference, compare current prices in the same country and, where possible, at the same retailer. Match storage and memory variants, warranty terms, and whether the listing is for the same regional configuration. Without those details, naming a current price gap—or declaring one phone the better value—would be misleading.
Rank #4
- The Galaxy S25 FE features a large, immersive Dynamic AMOLED display with smooth refresh rate and enhanced brightness, delivering vivid colors and sharp clarity whether you're streaming, browsing, or using it outdoors.
Which one should you buy?
- Consider the Galaxy S25 FE if a listed 3x optical-zoom telephoto camera or wireless charging is important to you, or if Samsung’s stated IP68 rating and test description fit your needs.
- Consider the TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G if its listed 144Hz refresh-rate ceiling and 6,500mAh capacity are priorities, and the phone is available in your market at a price that suits you.
- Compare local listings before deciding if price is the deciding factor. The available official price information is not a current, same-market comparison.
The manufacturers list Android 16-based software for both models, but the cited specifications do not establish a comparable software or security-update support duration. If update longevity is important, check the support commitment for the exact model and region before purchase.
