Choose the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE if you want Samsung’s One UI and Galaxy AI features, 45 W wired charging, or a smaller, lighter phone. Choose the Nothing Phone (4a) if you prefer Nothing’s design and interface, want a higher-resolution 120 Hz display on paper, or are shopping at the lower end of the cited UK prices. Neither is the clear choice for everyone: compare current prices for the same country, storage, seller condition, and promotion before buying.

How much more does the Galaxy S25 FE cost?
In TechRadar’s March 2026 UK comparison, the Nothing Phone (4a) started at £349 and the Galaxy S25 FE at £649, a £300 difference between those cited starting prices. That is not a verified current price gap for matching storage, retailer, or promotion. TechRadar’s March 2026 review and comparison is the source for that UK snapshot.

Nothing’s UK pre-order terms in March 2026 listed £349 for 8/128 GB, £379 for 8/256 GB, and £399 for 12/256 GB. Its UK product page showed £379 for 8/128 GB when accessed October 7, 2026. These are UK prices, not global pricing, and the pre-order figures are launch-period prices. Nothing’s pre-order terms and UK product page provide those figures.

For context in a separate market, Samsung’s U.S. MSRP sheet effective March 2026 lists unlocked 128 GB and 256 GB Galaxy S25 FE models at $649.99 and $709.99, respectively. Samsung says prices can change. Do not subtract these U.S. dollar MSRPs from Nothing’s UK prices; the markets and pricing bases differ. Samsung’s U.S. MSRP sheet has the listed prices.
For a useful comparison where you live, check the same country, storage capacity, seller condition, and promotion for both phones. A launch price, manufacturer store listing, and current retailer offer are not interchangeable.

- The Galaxy S25 FE features a large, immersive Dynamic AMOLED display with smooth refresh rate and enhanced brightness, delivering vivid colors and sharp clarity whether you're streaming, browsing, or using it outdoors.
Which phone is better for your priorities?
Choose the Galaxy S25 FE for Samsung’s software and a lighter body
The S25 FE was announced with One UI 8 and Galaxy AI features such as Gemini Live and Generative Edit. Samsung positions it as an entry point into its Galaxy AI ecosystem; that is the company’s stated aim, not an independent measure of the features’ value. The phone is also listed at 190 g and 7.4 mm thick by Samsung South Africa, compared with the Nothing’s 204.5 g and 8.6 mm in TechRadar’s review. If you already use Samsung devices or prefer its interface, that ecosystem may be a deciding factor.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsChoose the Nothing Phone (4a) for its display specification and design
Both phones offer a 120 Hz AMOLED-class display. The Nothing’s reported resolution is 2720 × 1224, while Samsung describes the S25 FE’s screen as a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel. Nothing also highlights its Glyph Bar and Essential AI tools. These are different interface and design approaches, so personal preference matters more than a universal ranking.
Do not choose by battery capacity or charging wattage alone
Samsung specifies a 4,900 mAh battery and 45 W wired charging. TechRadar lists 5,080 mAh and 50 W wired charging for the Nothing, and says it does not support wireless charging. Those figures do not establish which phone lasts longer in ordinary use or reaches a full charge sooner; no independent endurance result or controlled comparison of these two phones is established here.
Compare camera systems by the kind of photos you take
The S25 FE’s reported rear setup includes a dedicated telephoto camera with 3× optical zoom. The Nothing’s review-listed setup includes a periscope telephoto with 3.5× optical zoom and a stated digital/ultra zoom reach of up to 70×. Zoom figures describe different capabilities and do not prove equivalent image quality.
Rank #4
- The Galaxy S25 FE features a large, immersive Dynamic AMOLED display with smooth refresh rate and enhanced brightness, delivering vivid colors and sharp clarity whether you're streaming, browsing, or using it outdoors.
TechRadar’s reviewer found the Nothing’s photos less detailed and less color-accurate than desired, and described its long-range results as unclear. That is one reviewer’s assessment, not a controlled S25 FE comparison: the review’s direct camera comparison was against the Galaxy S24 FE. Treat it as an observation, not a head-to-head verdict.
How to make the final choice
- Set your market and budget. Compare current local prices, rather than mixing UK prices with U.S. MSRPs.
- Match the configuration. Check storage, seller condition, and whether a price is a launch offer, manufacturer listing, or retailer promotion.
- Pick the interface you want to use. Consider Samsung’s One UI and Galaxy AI features against Nothing OS, its Glyph Bar, and Essential AI tools.
- Prioritize the hardware that matters to you. Consider the listed display resolutions, camera arrangements, charging options, and the Samsung’s lower listed weight.
- Verify the exact regional model. Check network-band compatibility and local warranty and service coverage before purchase; regional listings and specifications may differ.
Verdict
The Galaxy S25 FE is the more natural fit for a buyer who wants Samsung’s software ecosystem, 45 W wired charging, and a smaller, lighter listed body. The Nothing Phone (4a) makes more sense if its design and interface appeal to you, its higher stated screen resolution is a priority, and its local price is lower. Make the decision using current, like-for-like local prices—not the £300 gap between two UK starting prices from March 2026.
