Samsung’s specifications describe display diagonals measured across the full rectangle. The rounded-corner diagonal is 6.5 inches, and the actual viewable area is smaller because of the rounded corners and camera opening. Which phone is easier to carry?
The S25 Edge measures 5.8 mm thick and weighs 163 g, while the S26+ measures 7.3 mm and weighs 190 g. That is a 1.5 mm difference in thickness and 27 g in weight, based on Samsung’s listed measurements. Choose the Edge if minimizing bulk is your main priority; the S26+ is the more substantial device.

How do their cameras differ?
S25 Edge: high-resolution main camera
The Edge has a 200 MP wide camera with optical image stabilization and 2x optical-quality zoom, plus a 12 MP autofocus ultrawide. Its listed rear-camera system does not include a dedicated telephoto camera.

S26+: dedicated optical zoom
The S26+ pairs its 50 MP wide and 12 MP ultrawide cameras with a 10 MP telephoto camera offering 3x optical zoom. That gives it a dedicated lens for optical reach. The Edge’s higher main-camera megapixel count and the S26+’s telephoto lens describe different capabilities; megapixels alone do not establish which phone takes better photos.
What do the battery and charging figures tell you?
Samsung lists typical capacities of 3,900 mAh for the Edge and 4,900 mAh for the S26+. Capacity is a specification, not a direct measure of how long either phone lasts in everyday use; the available sources do not provide a direct head-to-head battery-life test.

Samsung says the S26+ can reach up to 69% charge in around 30 minutes using a 45W adapter. This is a manufacturer estimate from internal testing of a pre-release phone starting at 0%, with services, features, and the screen turned off; actual charging varies. The adapter and cable are sold separately. Samsung’s cited Edge specifications identify Super Fast Charging but do not give an adapter wattage in the specification table.

Are the displays and storage comparable?
Both phones have a 6.7-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display and refresh rates up to 120 Hz. The S26+ specification describes its refresh rate as adaptive 1–120 Hz; the S25 Edge specification lists 1–120 Hz. Both are listed with 12 GB of memory and 256 GB or 512 GB storage, though S26+ availability varies by market and carrier. Samsung also notes that chipset/AP type can vary by market; verify the exact regional model when buying.

What is the price difference?
A reliable current price gap is not established by the cited sources: they do not verify same-country, same-storage current retail prices for both phones. Launch prices, where published, would not answer what each model costs locally now. Promotions, stock, trade-in offers, carrier terms, and warranty conditions can change the comparison.
For a fair decision, compare listings for the same storage capacity and market, and match condition, carrier lock status, warranty, and promotion terms. If prices differ, weigh that actual local gap against whether the Edge’s lighter, thinner build or the S26+’s telephoto camera, larger stated battery capacity, and specified 45W charging matter more to you.

Which one should you choose?
- Choose the Galaxy S25 Edge if a thin, light chassis is the priority and its 200 MP main camera suits your needs. Its listed battery capacity is smaller, and it lacks a dedicated telephoto camera.
- Choose the Galaxy S26+ if you want a dedicated 3x optical telephoto camera, a larger stated battery capacity, or Samsung’s specified 45W wired charging, and can accept the thicker, heavier body.
