The Galaxy S24 FE is Samsung’s more premium-positioned phone; the Galaxy A36 5G is the lower-priced option in Samsung’s March 2026 US MSRP list. For the listed unlocked 128GB models, the S24 FE’s MSRP is $250 higher. That is a dated list-price comparison, not a current street-price quote—and Samsung marks the A36 price-list entry EOL.
How much more does the Galaxy S24 FE cost?
Samsung’s US HHP MSRP list effective March 2026 gives these unlocked prices:
| Model and storage | US MSRP (March 2026) | Price-list status |
|---|---|---|
| Galaxy S24 FE, 8/128GB | $649.99 | Listed by Samsung |
| Galaxy S24 FE, 8/256GB | $709.99 | Listed by Samsung |
| Galaxy A36 5G, 128GB | $399.99 | Marked EOL |
Comparing the two 128GB entries, the S24 FE is $250 more ($649.99 minus $399.99). These are Samsung US list prices from March 2026, not guaranteed current retail prices. Because the A36 entry is marked EOL, check local availability and the actual price before treating the difference as a buying offer. Samsung US HHP MSRP list.

Which phone is better for you?
Choose the S24 FE if its premium positioning and listed processor matter most
Samsung identifies the S24 FE’s processor as Exynos 2400e and its display as Dynamic AMOLED 2X. Those product labels support describing the S24 FE as the more premium-positioned model, but they do not by themselves establish a measured performance or screen-quality advantage over the A36.
Consider the A36 if the listed display and capacity suit your priorities
The A36 specification page lists a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen with up to 120 Hz refresh, a 5,000 mAh typical battery, and a three-camera rear system. Those figures describe specifications, not a proven advantage in viewing quality, camera results, or time between charges.

- The Galaxy S24 FE packs a large 6.7‑inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with adaptive 120 Hz refresh rate, enhanced brightness and a “Vision Booster” mode — ideal for clear, bright visuals even outdoors.
What this comparison does not establish
The cited Samsung pages and US MSRP list do not provide a matched, current-market test of these phones. They do not establish comparative benchmark performance, camera image quality, real-world battery runtime, or software-support duration. Megapixel counts and battery capacity alone cannot settle those questions. Nor should US MSRP be assumed to apply in another country: local model configurations, prices, availability, network compatibility, and warranty terms can differ. For a purchase outside the US, compare local listings for the same storage capacity and sales channel.
