The Galaxy S24 FE is the stronger choice on paper if you want a dedicated 3x optical telephoto camera, an IP68 rating and Samsung’s longer stated software-support commitment. The Galaxy A27 5G has a larger stated battery capacity and cost less in one like-for-like Samsung Guatemala listing. For 256 GB models, that listing showed a Q. 900 gap on October 7, 2026; it is a dated local price, not a global comparison.

Which phone has the better camera?
On listed hardware, the S24 FE is more versatile for zoom photography because it includes a dedicated 8 MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS. The A27 5G instead lists a main, ultrawide and macro rear-camera setup. That makes the S24 FE the clearer pick if optical zoom is important, but the specifications do not establish which phone takes better photos overall.
The A27 has a 12 MP front camera versus 10 MP on the S24 FE. Resolution alone cannot determine selfie quality, and the available specifications do not provide a matched comparison.
Display, performance and battery differences
Display
Both phones list 6.7-inch FHD+ displays with a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz. Samsung describes the S24 FE panel as Dynamic AMOLED 2X with adaptive 60/120 Hz, while it calls the A27 panel Super AMOLED and lists up to 120 Hz. Those labels and figures do not by themselves establish which screen looks better.

Performance
The S24 FE uses an Exynos 2400e and the A27 5G a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3; both chipsets are listed as 4 nm. Without matched benchmarks or testing, the chipset names are not enough to declare a speed winner.
Battery
Samsung lists typical capacities of 4700 mAh for the S24 FE and 5000 mAh for the A27 5G. Samsung India also gives the A27 an up-to 23-hour video-playback estimate; it is a manufacturer figure, not a directly comparable test against the S24 FE. The S24 FE’s stated charging figure is up to 50% in around 30 minutes using a 25 W adapter sold separately. These figures do not establish which phone lasts longer in everyday use.

Software support and protection
Samsung states seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates for the S24 FE, measured from its global launch. For the A27 5G, Samsung states up to six Android/One UI upgrade generations and up to six years of security updates from its initial global launch. That gives the S24 FE the longer published commitment, although actual update timing can vary by market and model.

Samsung’s S24 FE launch specifications list an IP68 rating, DeX support and Wi-Fi 6E. The cited A27 materials describe Knox Vault, but do not establish a comparable ingress-protection rating. Confirm the features and ratings for the exact regional variant you are considering.

Galaxy S24 FE vs A27 5G price difference
Samsung Guatemala’s online store listed the 256 GB A27 5G at Q. 3,699 and the 256 GB S24 FE at Q. 4,599 when checked on October 7, 2026. That is a Q. 900 difference between like-capacity variants in that market. It is a live regional listing, not a global launch price or a permanent MSRP; check the current listing before purchase. Compare the same storage size, seller, warranty and carrier-lock status. The Guatemala listing also showed a 128 GB A27, which should not be compared with the 256 GB S24 FE as if they were like-for-like.

Choose the Galaxy S24 FE if
- You want a dedicated 3x optical telephoto camera.
- IP68, DeX support or Wi-Fi 6E are important, subject to confirmation for your regional model.
- You value the longer stated software-support commitment.
Consider the Galaxy A27 5G if
- You are shopping in Guatemala and the observed lower price remains available for the 256 GB model.
- You prefer its higher stated battery capacity, while recognizing that capacity does not predict real-world runtime on its own.
- You want the newer-generation model and have confirmed its local availability, network bands and variant features.
Neither the chipset specifications nor the battery capacities establish a real-world performance or endurance winner. The choice is best made around the features that matter to you, your local variant and the current price of comparable storage configurations.
