For buyers in India choosing between these phones, the Motorola Edge 60 Pro has the stronger listed-hardware case if you want a higher-resolution display, larger stated battery, faster charging and lighter body. The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is the more compelling fit if you value its dedicated 3x optical telephoto camera and the longer software-update term reported by a comparison listing. Neither specification sheet establishes which phone takes better photos, lasts longer in real use or performs better under load.

At a glance: what separates the two phones?

These are listed specifications, not comparative test results. Panel resolution does not settle which screen looks better, megapixel counts do not predict photo quality, and battery capacity alone cannot establish everyday runtime.

Which display and design suit you better?

Choose the Edge 60 Pro for more listed pixels and a lighter body

The Edge 60 Pro has the higher stated resolution at 2712 × 1220, compared with the S24 FE’s 1080 × 2340 FHD+ panel. Both are listed at 120 Hz, while Samsung identifies its panel as Dynamic AMOLED 2X and Motorola as pOLED. The Motorola is also narrower and 27 g lighter on the listed dimensions, though it is slightly thicker. Those figures may matter if you prefer a lighter phone or often use it one-handed; comfort is personal.

Choose by panel preference, not resolution alone

The specifications do not establish brightness, color accuracy, outdoor legibility or which panel looks more pleasing. If display quality is decisive, compare the phones in person at your preferred brightness and with the kind of content you watch.

How do the cameras differ?

The S24 FE gives you a clearly specified 8 MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom alongside its 50 MP main and 12 MP ultrawide cameras. That dedicated zoom hardware makes it the more straightforward specification-sheet choice if you regularly frame distant subjects without relying only on digital zoom.

Motorola advertises a triple 50 MP rear system, covering main, ultrawide/macro and telephoto roles. The published megapixel figures do not show how well either phone handles motion, low light, skin tones or video. No independent head-to-head camera test is established here, so choose based on the camera features you need rather than assuming one will produce better images.

  • The Galaxy S24 FE packs a large 6.7‑inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with adaptive 120 Hz refresh rate, enhanced brightness and a “Vision Booster” mode — ideal for clear, bright visuals even outdoors.

Battery and charging: what the ratings do—and do not—tell you

Motorola lists a 6,000 mAh battery and 90 W wired charging, plus 15 W wireless charging. Samsung lists a 4,700 mAh typical-capacity battery and claims up to 28 hours of video playback. The capacity figures and charging ratings make the Edge 60 Pro the stronger listed option for battery size and charging speed; they do not prove it will last longer for your mix of apps, network conditions and screen settings.

Samsung’s video-playback figure is a manufacturer claim, not a directly comparable result from a shared test. If all-day endurance matters, look for independent tests that use the same methodology and software conditions for both models.

Performance and storage: match the configuration you will buy

The S24 FE uses Samsung’s Exynos 2400e and is listed with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB storage options. Motorola lists the Dimensity 8350 Extreme and configurations spanning 8/256 GB, 12/256 GB and 16/512 GB. The Edge 60 Pro therefore offers more listed memory and storage choices, but availability depends on the market and seller.

Chip names and RAM totals are not enough to declare a performance winner. No matched benchmark or sustained gaming test is established here. Check the exact RAM and storage variant on the retailer’s product page; do not assume every configuration listed on a manufacturer page is available from every seller.

Software support and durability

Update commitments

The 91mobiles comparison reports seven years of OS updates for the S24 FE. Motorola’s India product page states three OS upgrades and four years of security maintenance releases for the Edge 60 Pro. Since the Samsung duration here comes from a third-party comparison rather than an official Samsung policy page, verify the wording and coverage directly with Samsung for your country before buying on that basis.

Water and dust ratings

Samsung lists IP68 for the S24 FE; Motorola lists IP68/IP69 and MIL-STD-810H for the Edge 60 Pro. These are protection ratings, not guarantees that a phone is indestructible or immune to damage in every situation. Warranty coverage and exact regional specifications may differ, so read the local terms rather than treating a rating as permission to expose a phone to any condition.

Price difference in India: compare like with like

There is no reliable single price gap in the available observations because they come from different sources and may refer to different configurations. The Motorola India product page displayed ₹33,999 against an MRP of ₹40,999 when accessed on 2026-10-07. Separately, 91mobiles showed Amazon price snapshots of ₹39,999 for the S24 FE and ₹30,190 for the Edge 60 Pro; these are third-party observations, not guaranteed live prices.

Before deciding that one is cheaper, compare the same storage tier where possible, at the same retailer and on the same day. Check whether each figure is an offer or MRP, and include a bank discount only if you qualify for it. Prices, stock and eligible offers can change.

Which phone should you buy?

Buy the Motorola Edge 60 Pro if…

  • You prioritize the larger stated battery and faster listed wired charging.
  • You want the higher-resolution listed display and a lighter, narrower phone.
  • You need a choice of higher RAM or storage configurations, subject to local availability.
  • Its matched variant is cheaper at the retailer and date you are actually buying.

Buy the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE if…

  • You want a dedicated 3x optical telephoto camera in a clearly specified camera setup.
  • The longer OS-update term reported for it is important to you, after confirming Samsung’s official regional policy.
  • You prefer its listed Samsung platform and configuration for your needs; available evidence here does not establish a benchmark winner.

For a typical India buyer who prioritizes hardware value, the Edge 60 Pro has the stronger specification case. The S24 FE is the more targeted choice for optical zoom and the reported longer update commitment. The better buy for you depends on the exact SKU, verified local support terms and live matched price.
