The Galaxy S26 FE has a verified 2026 launch price and a clear specification sheet; a reliable, like-for-like current price gap against the Galaxy S23 Ultra does not. Samsung India announced the S26 FE at INR 79,999 for 8/256 GB, but the S23 Ultra comparison depends on country, storage, condition and seller. The S26 FE baseline below is useful for comparing listings, but it cannot establish which phone is cheaper today.
What can be compared reliably
Samsung announced the Galaxy S26 FE in India on 14 September 2026. Its India announcement and UK product page establish the FE’s core specifications and support commitment. The available evidence does not establish a corresponding current S23 Ultra price or an official, model-specific S23 Ultra specification set, so this is a verified S26 FE baseline—not a complete two-phone spec verdict.
For the S26 FE, Samsung lists a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a refresh rate up to 120 Hz, an Exynos 2500 processor, and three rear cameras: 50 MP wide with optical image stabilization, 12 MP ultra-wide, and 8 MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom. It also lists a 12 MP front camera. Samsung India specifies up to 1,900 nits for the display and up to 30x digital zoom; those figures are from the India announcement.

What the S26 FE costs—and what that price means
Samsung India listed the S26 FE at INR 79,999 for 8/256 GB at launch. That is a regional launch price, not a universal or necessarily current retail quote. Samsung also advertised an exchange upgrade bonus of up to INR 8,000 in India at launch. “Up to” is a promotional ceiling, not a guaranteed credit for every old phone or a confirmed valuation for an S23 Ultra.

Why there is no single S23 Ultra vs S26 FE price difference
A price gap is meaningful only when the two prices use the same market and a clear comparison basis. The S26 FE’s announced price does not establish what an S23 Ultra costs now: its price depends on whether the listing is new, used or refurbished, the storage capacity, seller, and whether it is unlocked or carrier-linked. No current comparable S23 Ultra price is established here, so calculating a difference would be guesswork.

For a useful local comparison, record the date and compare matching storage capacities from the same retailer or marketplace, with condition and network status stated. If a new S23 Ultra is not listed, compare used or refurbished listings only with their condition disclosed. Keep a trade-in credit separate from the outright price: Samsung India’s launch bonus of up to INR 8,000 is an exchange promotion, not a universal reduction in the phone’s price.
