On paper, the vivo X300 FE is the stronger and newer phone: its India specifications list a newer processor, a larger-capacity battery, faster wired charging and a higher-resolution display. The Galaxy S21 FE has a slightly larger screen, wireless charging and a much lower price on some current comparison listings. There is no fixed price difference: it depends on the specific listing, storage variant and date.
The figures below are India-specific. vivo’s shop currently shows ₹94,999 for the X300 FE with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, while 91mobiles lists ₹49,999 for the S21 FE and ₹94,999 for the X300 FE. Those third-party prices can change. Samsung’s separate S21 FE figures of ₹49,999 and ₹53,999 were introductory offers in January 2022, not current prices.

Which phone has the better display?
The S21 FE’s screen is slightly larger by diagonal measurement: 6.4 inches versus 6.31 inches. The X300 FE’s listed resolution is higher at 2640 × 1216, compared with 2340 × 1080 on the S21 FE. Both India specifications list 120Hz refresh rates, so the headline difference is a modestly larger panel on Samsung’s phone versus more pixels on vivo’s.
Resolution and refresh rate do not by themselves establish which display looks better in everyday use. The cited specifications do not provide a controlled head-to-head assessment of brightness, color accuracy or outdoor visibility.

How do performance, battery and charging compare?
Processor generation
The India specifications list an Exynos 2100 built on a 5nm process for the S21 FE and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 built on a 3nm process for the X300 FE. The vivo chip is the newer platform on paper, but these specifications alone are not a measured performance comparison. The 91mobiles page includes benchmark figures, but without confirmed matching protocols, software builds and test conditions, they should not be treated as definitive head-to-head results.
Battery capacity and charging
vivo lists a 6500mAh typical battery for the X300 FE, with a 6350mAh minimum/rated figure, and up to 90W FlashCharge. The stated charging maximum requires the original charger and cable; vivo says charging power varies with conditions. Samsung lists a 4500mAh battery and 25W wired charging for the S21 FE, alongside wireless fast charging 2.0 and Wireless PowerShare.

The larger stated capacity and faster wired-charging specification favor vivo on paper. They do not prove longer real-world battery life or a particular charging time: usage, network conditions, settings and charging conditions affect results, and the cited specifications are not comparative battery tests.
What are the camera differences?
The S21 FE has a 12MP wide, 12MP ultrawide and 8MP telephoto rear-camera setup, with OIS specified for the wide and telephoto cameras. The X300 FE lists a 50MP OIS main camera, a 50MP OIS telephoto camera and an 8MP wide-angle camera. For selfies, Samsung lists 32MP and vivo lists a 50MP autofocus front camera.

These are hardware specifications, not a verdict on photo quality. Megapixel counts do not establish which phone produces better photos; image processing, lens performance and shooting conditions matter too. No controlled camera comparison is established by the cited material.

For a like-for-like calculation, compare the price offered today for each phone at the same retailer or market and note each phone’s RAM and storage. Subtracting the S21 FE’s 2022 offer from a current X300 FE listing would mix a historical promotion with a later price. The vivo store’s listed MRP is not the same as its displayed selling price.
Which one should you choose?
Choose the vivo X300 FE if
- You want the newer India-listed processor and Android 16 with OriginOS 6.
- You prioritize a larger stated battery capacity and faster wired charging on the specification sheet.
- You want the higher-resolution display and newer listed camera configuration.
- You need IP69 in addition to IP68; vivo’s India specification page lists both ratings.
Consider the Galaxy S21 FE if
- You prefer its slightly larger 6.4-inch display.
- Wireless charging or Wireless PowerShare matters to you.
- You find it at a current price that makes sense for its age and your needs. Samsung’s launch offers are historical and should not be used as today’s price.
Before buying either model outside India, verify the model code, supported network bands, software version, storage configuration and local warranty. The cited specifications describe India variants, not every regional version. vivo also notes that usable storage is lower than the nominal capacity because the operating system and preinstalled apps occupy space.
