The Galaxy M47 5G is the newer model, with faster 45 W charging and a stated six-generation Android-upgrade and six-year security-update policy. The Galaxy M35 5G has a documented Exynos 1380 platform and lower historical launch prices, but those July 2024 prices do not establish what either phone costs today. For a fair buying decision in India, compare current listings for the same RAM and storage configuration.

Which phone has the better performance platform?
The M35 uses Samsung’s Exynos 1380. Samsung identifies the M47’s processor as Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, and its product specifications list two CPU speed figures: 2.4 GHz and 1.8 GHz. These specifications identify the respective platforms, but they do not establish which phone is faster in everyday use or demanding games. No directly comparable benchmark results are established here.
How do the displays compare?
Both phones are specified with 120 Hz AMOLED-class displays: Samsung described the M35 panel as Full HD+ sAMOLED, while the M47 product page calls its screen FHD+ Super AMOLED. The shared refresh rate and display class make them broadly comparable on those listed features; the specifications alone do not establish differences in brightness, color accuracy, or outdoor visibility.

Battery capacity, charging speed, and charger cost
Both models have a listed 6000 mAh typical battery capacity. The M47 supports 45 W fast charging, compared with 25 W for the M35. Charging speed is not the same as battery life: actual runtime depends on usage and conditions, and no head-to-head endurance test is established here.
Samsung lists the M47 fast charger as sold separately. If you do not already have a compatible charger, account for that added purchase when comparing the cost of ownership; the product page does not support assuming a charger is included.

Camera specifications: what the numbers do and do not tell you
The M35 launch announcement highlights a 50 MP main camera, along with No Shake and Nightography features. Samsung lists the M47 with a 50 MP main camera plus 5 MP and 2 MP rear cameras, and a 12 MP front camera. The M47 has more rear-camera modules listed, but megapixel counts and camera count alone cannot show which phone takes better photos or video. No comparative camera test is established here.
Software support and durability
Samsung states that the M47 receives six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates, counted from its first global launch date; the company notes that this policy may change. The cited M35 launch announcement does not give a comparable support-period figure, so these sources do not establish a like-for-like support comparison. Both launch/product materials name Gorilla Glass Victus+; that shared specification does not by itself establish overall drop resistance or durability.

India prices: historical M35 launch prices versus M47 tracker data
Samsung’s 17 July 2024 M35 announcement listed these launch prices before specified limited-time offers:

Gadgets 360 reported an M47 starting price of ₹27,980 in India on 7 October 2026, with listed variant prices ranging from ₹27,980 to ₹44,999. These are dated retailer-tracked figures, not a guaranteed Samsung list price. The M35 figures are historical launch prices, so subtracting them from the M47 tracker price would not produce a reliable current price difference.

Before buying, check current listings for both models and match RAM and storage—not just the model name. Also compare the seller, included accessories, and any applicable offers. The cited material does not establish live prices for matching variants.

Choose the M47 if its current price fits your budget
- You want the newer model and value Samsung’s stated six-generation OS-upgrade and six-year security-update policy.
- You want the higher listed charging rate of 45 W and are prepared to buy a compatible charger separately if needed.
- You want a listed 12 MP front camera and a three-module rear-camera specification.
Consider the M35 if the current listing is better value
- You are considering the Exynos 1380 model and find a favorable current price for the configuration you need.
- You want 120 Hz sAMOLED, 6000 mAh typical capacity, or 25 W charging, and the M35 meets your needs at a lower live price.
- You do not need to infer a support policy from the launch announcement: check Samsung’s current official support information for the exact model before relying on a specific update commitment.
Neither specification sheet establishes a universal winner. The M47’s documented support policy and faster charging are meaningful advantages on paper; the M35 may still be the better purchase if its actual same-configuration price is sufficiently lower.
